I just finished Read this Next: 500 of the Best Books You'll Ever Read by Sandra Newman and Howard Mittelmark. It was a blast! They created categories - Love, Memoir, Family, History, etc. - and then discussed the 12 best books witin each category. I loved the fact that these were off-the-best-seller-list books; out of the 500 I had read less than 25%, which is amazing!
The reviews are witty and clever, and easy to read, and now I have an new shopping list!
I thought we could do that on here - take different categories and share our favorite books in each category, and more importanly WHY we would choose them as the best representative. I'll start a category a week, so get out your reading lists!

Wow! Great find, Red!

Nice thing about owning a Kindle: within two minutes of reading your post above I had logged onto Amazon.com, found the book, bought it, downloaded it to the Kindle, and was flipping through the table of contents.

This looks like it will be a good resource. Thanks for the tip!

I'm trying to weed my books out because I've got so many of them. Now I find a place where I can find more to read.

I suppose I'll have to invest in one of those devices where I can download ebooks.
