Can't do it Yoga-gal. I have this horrible habit that ticks sister off of needing to write commentary on the pages of my books. If these e-books allowed to write notes and keep the notes there then I would try it. However, I don't think they do.
the Barnes and Noble ereader called Nook allows you to write notes and make highlights. It even allows you to share your books with your friends and borrow library books on it. This has moved to the top of my list.

My sister-in-law got a Kindle as a gift some time back and thoroughly enjoys it -- especially when travelling. My brother has two hours travel time each day with his job, so he enjoys audio books on the way.

As many others here have stated, I prefer a good old-fashioned book. I love the smell and feel of them. I fear one day books will go the way of the 8-track tape. But I certainly hope not!

I have a Sony e-reader and love it! It can store hundreds of books, sort by author, title, etc. It will bookmark etc so that you can read several book at a time. The beautiful thing about this is if you really enjoy reading the classics, like Jane Austin, Hemmingway, Walden, Dickens, D.H. Lawrence, they are absolutely free to downlo, There are not copyright binfringement to worry about.... But I also love the feel of a book in my hands so I have both... I prefer the sony ereader to the Kindle.. and the Nook ( Barnes and Noble) is my least favorite of them all!
