I might -- what did you have in mind to read?

I need a good excuse to carve out some time for pleasure reading!

Anyone else?

Yes, I read a lot but my schedule doesn't allow me to participate in a regular book club. This way I could find out the insights of others without being tied to a date and time. Great idea. Thanks!

I'd be in-How about something from the 2009 Book List I posted a few days ago here?

I'm in a couple of IRL book groups and really enjoy them...helps me find new authors and read things I might not usually pick up.

Fiction? or a different interesting book we have heard about from someone else, no matter what the genre? Or the NY Times best seller lists-though I have to say that with the plethora of mass market best selling authors who I wouldn't bother reading making that list, I'm not really impressed with that.

I'll join! I need to read more contemporary material! I'll read just about anything even Romance novels--as long as they aren't cheesy or graphic.

Though I am partial to non-fiction, count me in!

I teach English and Social Studies, and always have my nose buried in a historical non-fiction and really must read more fiction.

Choose a book...I'm in there!

How about the classics?...I saw the movie "The Jane Austen Club" and loved it..or Charlotte Bronte's "Jane Eyre"...just a thought.

I'm interested.

As a side note, not saying we have to do this but, I know a group of old school mates who have an online book club. Some of the members live in the same cities and some do not. Those living in the same areas gather at a home and the whole group meets via Skype once a month. They post a treat at some website and those who wish make it so they are all eating the same thing just as if they had met in the same house.

I just really think that is kind of neat.
