Archie was the popular guy in high school who ended up working at the local refinery. And since Veronica came from wealth and privilege, she ended up going to an Ivy league school, and marrying into class and money. Too much money and time on her hands has turned her into an empty, discontent, and adulterous "Real Housewife of the Upper Crust." I believe she was also offered a spot on one of the many cheating housewife reality shows .

Betty grew frustrated with Archie's indecision ( and playboy ways), and met and married an accounting student at the local community college. She is now living the "American dream" with a two car garage, a chicken in every pot, and 2.5 kids ( "Waggles" is the .5 kid with a wet nose and a waggily tail).

Archie did end up marrying one of the barmaids at the local pub. Needless to say, their marriage became less than ideal. Archie is now balding with a "paunch," and continues to relive his "glory days" at the same local pub. Inwardly, he is secretly tormented, since he realizes now that he let a genuine and virtuous woman get away, Betty.
