Favorite authors are Clive Barker and Michelle Gagnon. I've read about 1 or 2 from each of them. I liked them. I don't read much, so the list of stuff I like is made shorter because of the amount that I read.

Usually the one I am reading right now! i am a huge Austen fan so anything she writes is great. Jennifer Werner is a new fave of mine. I like light stuff like Dick Francis mysteries to more highbrow stuff in my book club like White Tiger, People of the Book and right now we are reading Welty. Oh, Bill Bryson who does travel humor is fantastic.

Wow, Lindseyk, you seem to have a lot the same taste in books as me. I love the Count of Monte Cristo and anything by the Bronte sisters or Jane Austen. I was not a fan of Dickens in my younger years but have really come to appreciate hgis work now. When i was a teenager I read Anna Karenina five times in a row, I couldn't get enough of it.I also love anything by Henri Nouwen or Jean Vanier

Some of mine:

The Girl Next Door - Jack Ketchum

Little Brothers - Rick Hautala
Ha! I've partied with Dallas (Jack) and Rick. Both great guys, and I agree the books are incredible. The Girl Next Door changed the way I looked at horror novels.

For me I'd say:

The Wolf's Hour - Robert McCammon

It - Stephen King

The Tooth Fairy - Graham Joyce

Angela's Ashes - Frank McCourt

Anything in the romance genre by Susan Mallery or Stephanie Bond
