Does anyone enjoy rereading books by certain authors. I do try new books but some books are like comfort food for the brain.

I love the Stephenie Mayer books, The Twilight saga. Awsome books... only 4 books i had ever read in my entire life aswell. Books really arent such a snore. I have missed out on a few years... but i shal right my wrongs and pick up more books.

Thank you

I have read the Sword of Truth series (Terry Goodkind) about 6 times; Robert Jordan's 3 times; Mercedes Lackey's Valdemar a couple of times as well as her dragon rider series, and a number of other authors over and over and over. They are just good stories.

Jeffrey Deaver, the author of the Lincoln Rhyme series. I re-read all the ones I had a few years ago, but I've picked up more since...and my pile of "To Read" books is way too high right now to go back and re-read old favourites. But I will, eventually...when all the bookstores in the world disappear and I have to survive on the books existing only in my collection.

Absolutely! Rereading a book is like revisiting an old friend. Some of my favorites would include Salinger's Catcher in the Rye, Joyce's Ulysses, Heller's Catch 22, Twain's Huckleberry Finn, FitzGerald's The Great Gatsby and many more. Books are like puzzles that reveal more and more each time you read them. So I certainly agree with you Southie!

Marcinko was great, Kurt Vonnegut Jr is always good...I've had so many where I had to get their books. But my library was decimated per my divorce...that and Alzheimers is kicking in... Oh another author/s is the Gears (People of the Owl, People of the Moon, etc.) I've read an aweful lot in life...history and military history are always good. Peace.

I usually read non-fiction (mostly historical non-fiction)...but I've delved into fiction from time to time. Scott Turow and Toni Morrison (Beloved...a great read!)aremy favorite fictionauthors.

They are the only authors that can get my head out of non-fiction for a spell, to enjoy a great fictional read....
