I have a preference for books that are written in the first-person point of view. I just happen to like them because they seem to read faster. Does anyone have any good suggestions?

Hi Brigand,

The only first-person book that I can remember reading recently was The Lovely Bones. It was interesting because the first-person view is from a teenage girl that was murdered. She is watching how her family, the town and the killer are dealing with her murder and the grief from it.

Sorry I do not have any other suggestions for you. Hopefully, others will have more to share for you.

The Lovely Bones was awesome, but very sad yet poignant. From a different genre is Janet Evanovich's "Stephanie Plum" series, Sophie Kinsella's "Shopoholic" series. But are funny and fast reads. I'll have more later but those come to mind first.

The Lovely Bones was great, doesn't she have a new book out? Anyone read it. My book club just read Out Stealing Horses by Pars Peterson from Norway and it was very good and reads very quickly. It is also in paperback. If you try it let me know if you like it.

I think that just about any book by Meg Cabbot is written in first person. They aren't as heavy a read as The Lovely Bones but they are good stories. Also, if you like darker mysteries, I'd suggest "Lake of Dead Languages" Great book!
