About Me
About Me
I love reading the great thinkers of past ages and think that some of the most profound observances of this current age can be found in country music lyrics :-)
I have an extremely high view of marriage. I prefer stark reality to impotent wishful thinking and find that far too many people don't follow their philosophical views to their inevitable conclusions. I have seen no evidence that man has evolved one iota and am ever mindful that the proper implication of the word “utopia” is that an earthbound perfectly "good place" is really "no place."
I firmly believe that it is possible to walk through this world with integrity and dignity without finding it necessary to make others appear inept and irrelevant.

Quotes
There are two kinds of people: those who say to God, "Thy will be done," and those to whom God says, "All right, then, have it your way." - C. S. Lewis ======= “If God gives you a watch, are you honoring Him more by asking Him what time it is or by simply consulting the watch?” - Tozer =================
"The voice of the special rebels and prophets, recommending discontent, should, as I have said, sound now and then suddenly, like a trumpet. But the voices of the saints and sages, recommending contentment, should sound unceasingly, like the sea." - G. K. Chesterton ========================
"Lying in bed would be an altogether perfect and supreme experience if only one had a colored pencil long enough to draw on the ceiling." G. K. Chesterton
=========================
"To be right with God has often meant to be in trouble with men." - Tozer ============================ "Be sure that the ins and outs of your individuality are no mystery to Him; and one day they will no longer be a mystery to you." - C. S. Lewis =========================== “One hundred religious persons knit into a unity by careful organizations do not constitute a church any more than eleven dead men make a football team. The first requisite is life, always.” - Tozer ======================= “People are like stained-glass windows. They sparkle and shine when the sun is out, but when the darkness sets in, their true beauty is revealed only if there is a light from within.” - Kübler-Ross
