Two words describe me best - maps and music! I love travel/adventures. Meeting new people and swapping stories or songs. The experiences I've valued the most usually have involved a good group of people, a challenging adventure and a good deal of physical or mental duress!

Americana - its a broad category that covers everything from traditional folk to roots rock to traditional blues to bluegrass. I'm a musician myself so I listen to what I play.

I don't watch enough TV to really have a favorite.

I love anything with a good adventure in it. Among my favorites are classics, such as Lawrence of Arabia and more recent additions like The Year of Living Dangerously.

I lean toward documentary writing styles so my favorites are usually books about true people or events. An example - Young Men and Fire by Norman McLean
