Well, I think my screenname would answer that question if I didn't have to admit I'm spoiled, I really wouldn't want to live in any historic period. I like modern conveniences too much. But I would like to build a time machine and travel back to different time periods. I'll visit Fardareis, stillthesame, JL_Dexter, scotishangel, DoinNada, Lostintranslation and raleighNCsoldier in my travels through time and bring you back if you get tired of the period.

I like modern conveniences too... but just pick me up when you get your time machine going and I will go with you when you take Fardaeis, Stillthesame, JL.Dexter, DoinNada, Lostintranslation and raleighNCsoldier! Think if I bring my camera though anyone would notice??? Can you imagine the things we could see and learn???

ya know, now that you mention another era, in the 50's a man with a coprorate job could have health care, retirement and made enough to have June Cleaver stay at home and send Wally off to State -- and still be home by 6 for dinner every night -- those pre inflation days sound good to me, haha!

ya know... not a bad period either.. I might even consider wearing an apron if it meant I didn't have to work 12 hour days!!!! lol

but ya know it might still be a 12 hr day, only different "duties" --- haha

LOL... good point... maybe I should have said I would wear an apron if it meant I didn't have to work a 12 hour day and still come back home and fulfill the full-time duties of a mom (and dad)?
yup, I feel ya on that single parent thing, although I am sooo thankful for all God's blessings -- healthy children for one! (PS, I bet you'd look great in an apron )
