Yeah but then I don't tend to explain that much with hi my name is Jo. Usually the problem I have is when a guy starts regurgitating sound bites from the local news and I say but have you considered (insert relevant data) and he quickly run out of intelligent conversation. Thankfully most men have intelligence beyond the local news.

Whenever discussing contemporary politics, technology, news, etc., that seems to be more of a "type" that other guys often run into as well, with their pre-digested "talking points". Although I'd love to see the look on their face when they encounter a "mere female" who's knowledgeable AND has the data to prove it! As they say in the MasterCard commercials, "Priceless"!!

I have a co-worker who has asked to go to bars with me. He says you won't even know I am there I just want to see their face. It really is priceless.

"Ummm..." is right!! Actually it seems like even the "why" for these types of guys always sounds kinda "scripted". Although there are even some women like that too (in fact a woman's take on them would be kinda intriguing)! But I'm not sure any of them even know the real reasons themselves, and what usually seems most important is just how it makes them "feel".

Probably sounds harsh, but they sort of to remind me of "junkies", who are really more interested in needing another emotional "fix" from the argument, than about the actual substance, facts or even solutions for any issue. And don't get me started re: "talk radio"...!

I think it's sad that no one is ever willing to admit they are fallible or just don't know the answer.

If there is a subject brought up, and I don't have enough information to form an opinion, I actually admit it. You should see the looks on the faces of the people who think that's blasphemy. Meanwhile, they just regurgitate the opinions they were taught to recite and assume that makes them intelligent.
