Can't you be happy when you're not smiling and jumping up and down? For many people happiness doesn't have to require joy in the moment. Having fun can't make you happy but is it really happiness?
If you're happy and you know it.....then your face will surely show it.....if you're happy and you know it .....

At least for me, happiness is being at peace with yourself and your situation in life. It's feeling loved and needed and desired. It's people understanding who you really are and accepting you that way.

You seem to be saying you can't feel happy if people both don't understand and accept you? I think those are incredibly high requirements and it seems lots of people don't have that and are still happy.

It's not that everyone needs to, or even most people. That would be ridiculous and odd. But I do think it's easier to be happy when you have at least a few people that "get" you and like to spend time with you the way you are.

Happiness .... I'm getting it when I look around and see what I have around me I'm grateful.
Though there are times in our lives when we can not be happy due to a situation a loss .. and its a temporary measure, It's about being positive having a healthy out look helping others.
I always smile as it always generates a smile even with people you don't know and gives you a great feel good factor....And the fact that person you've just smiled at you may have just lifted them too .....

Stay Happy & Keep Smiling

Ok, so being emotionally validated (feel like you're heard, that people have judged you ok, or that people don't even need to judge you, etc.) promotes happiness. No one could disagree.
