I'd like to ask the President the following question... what question would you like to ask him?

It seems today, that all you see, is violence and movies and sex on T.V.
But where are those good ol' fashioned values- That we used to rely?

Obama drama. He's just got a better game on. I'd like to ask him, "Why did you want to be the leader of the not so free world?"

Not so free because:
We imprison more people per capita than any other country on the planet... OR
Because at any given moment our phone calls could be wire taped or we could get hand patted down at an airport security checkpoint?

Of course these things actually started to happen to us prior to Obama becoming president...

Yes! And we are also free to sleep in the streets. Not that I'm a communist or socialist. Maybe I just see things as they are.

There is no label for the way I see things.

Maybe the US is a reverse socialist society. The common people taking the burden for the government.

In a socialist society, the government takes the burden. ?

I think illusions abound.

What is the government in the US anyway? Power trip? Yes!

Maybe it's just all about money. (Duh) It's all about , I've got mine and to heck with you.

I'm in rare form tonight!

A sad state of affairs for the US.

Somebody stop me!

These are extraordinary times for sure... the last 9 years or so have tested all of us... These times are similar to those times just prior to WWII when Roosevelts new deal was on the table...

Damn I hope not. That's the #1 program I'd dump. #2 would be NEA...and I love NPR but they need to sell commercials like everyone else. Gov't sponsored radio is just insane.

Wow... The Chinese, the Russians, India, and Europe would take the Moon and Mars and we would become virtually defenseless.

Mostly I just want to answer here though becuase it lines up all of our 'Ask a _____' threads in a neat little row....

NPR is not government sponsored!
All Public Broadcating stations get a miniscule grant from the federal government.
The vast majority of their funding comes from charitable foundations, pledge drives, and corporations.
Haven't you noticed all the informational spots on Public radio and television.
They already have commercials, just in a more genteel (sneaky) form.
