Man, I sure thought I observed a post between my two posts:

For reference I am babbling about the GAP between the "off-color" Simon and Carol post and ",,,I've got bacon..."

All I can say, and please forgive the Southern Boy idiom, is Shhhhhheeeeeeeot!!!

LOL, now ya got me reading Mae West quotes and wow she has some good ones:

His mother should have thrown him out and kept the stork.
Mae West

I've been in more laps than a napkin.
Mae West

Ten men waiting for me at the door? Send one of them home, I'm tired.
Mae West

A man has one hundred dollars and you leave him with two dollars, that's subtraction.
Mae West

Don't marry a man to reform him - that's what reform schools are for.

For Chawks:

It's not true that I had nothing on. I had the radio on.

It's often just enough to be with someone. I don't need to touch them. Not even talk. A feeling passes between you both. You're not alone.
Marilyn Monroe

Husbands are chiefly good as lovers when they are betraying their wives.
Marilyn Monroe

I think she was sincerely a good person, just lost somehow.

Didn't Scooby say that to Shaggy in the aftermath of eating the pickled jalapeno?

Man, my youth really was misspent.

Very cool! And yes, I agree. I think she was a bit too trusting for her own good. And therein lies the similarity between us.

Uh-oh, sounds like somebody's feeling a little grumpy today!

What, you mean become a "joiner" and give up my "sympathetic outsider" status!? Nah, but thanks anyway. And hey, just kidding about the Klingons (except for maybe the "ornery" part)...!

BTW, sidebar here, DW.... I recently received one of those kinda crazy religious posts that reminded me of your complaint not long ago that you'd recently "maxed out" on all the "malevolent" (very apt description) religious types. And this one post actually accused me of being "Satan" (apparently in reference to my avatar)!

I'm thinking maybe we need a thread where we can just post all the fanatical attack stuff, and see who can top each other: "I was called an unrepentant sinner who would burn in hell." No, this one said I was the great Satan!" "No, they called me the AntiChrist...!", etc., etc.
