So..I am actually smart ya know... I in my heart will always be a Roadie. A close friend and fellow tech choose to turn a horrible personal tragedy into an annual event full of Friendship and Hope! Kinda like us here in EhA

This Music Festival is this weekend and tonight for the first time I am at work and not there to help out. So I am a lil sad tonight.

Below is their Mission Satement

"The Blue Feather Music Society aims to inspire, encourage and support our young People to develop the gifts that the Creator has given them. Through music and the visual arts, the Society will create opportunities for youth to explore and enhance their creative potential."

I just wanted to share this with everyone here.
Take a minute or five and Google Blue Feather is you need a reminder that inspite of what is on the news each night awesome people still walk this Earth.

:-)

Wow, I just read the link for the music festival. That's quite a story and sadly, a very common one. I hope and pray that Jolie's daughter was able to grow up in as normal an environment as possible. Sounds like Jolie had a great husband but sometimes a spouse just can't do it all for you no matter how hard they try. I was never addicted to drugs or alcohol but I had other addictions that my husband tried hard to help me with. I still struggle even though he tried so hard to fix it for me. I agree with Jolie's exhusband that the system often fails because they work on curing the symptoms instead of the underlying cause.

Well last night I went to the festival. I got my assistant manager to hold down the fort so I could go. I didn't get home until 2 am because I stayed and helped the stage crew tear down the stage , lights and PA The theme of this years festival is Love conquers All
The young woman who the night before was in Winnipeg accepting her award for the Best Country Aboringinal Album was headlining last night in Whitehorse. Sierra Noble said noone in Winnipeg could beleive she didn't want to go out and celebrate her big win Friday night because she was leaving for Blue Feather the next morning ! She told them the VERY FIRST time she sang one of her songs in front of an audience was 2 years ago in Whithorse on the Blue Feather Stage. She was not missing the chance to come back and say Thank You to us
She put on a 90 minute concert and then spent the next hour doing a M&G in the lobby of the Arts Centre.
It was a magical time. The room was full of really positive energy!!

Ha...The Wow factor is still pumping thru me. After only 4 hours sleep I am here grooving and smiling and cleaning !!
The sun is shining thru my living room window but it pales in comparison to how bright my soul's Love Light is shining today. This would be a really good day for anyone who needs a favour from me to ask!! Chances are very good it will be granted!!YouTube - Possibility - Sierra Noble [OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO] (cc)
Can you beleive she hesitated to write songs and sing them instead of just playing fiddle
