I thought about getting a rocking chair.

Is this a good idea?
Do you plan on rocking someone in it

The only thing a rocking chair is good for is a baby

Unless you have a better idea for them

A rocking chair is a very good idea, I suggest getting one with the slats on the back, more comfortable also don't rock too fast hate to see that you flipped.

(over that is)

Love watching TV and rocking,, rocked all my babies. I much prefer my swing on the porch, laid down on it one day, fell asleep, with the wind blowing it and rocking me like a baby.. sleep for 4 hrs LOL! I loved that!!

Rocking chairs don't really go anywhere. They pretty much stay in the same spot. Deceptive little buggers they are! It's all just a smokescreen.

If you're interested in going places, I'd skip the rocking chair and get one of those motorized scooters they have for old people in shopping malls.

I had the best one when my kids were small, it was big enough to hold both me and sleeping child comfortably. The rockers were longer so as a tall person, I could enjoy long smooth rocking motion. Since my first child seemed to be teething forever I spent a lot of nights in that chair. Now my daughter has the chair.
