He has presence! I'm a bit confused, was he speaking at a gathering of schools? Or one school only with 20K people?!

He was addressing all of the Dallas teachers, at the start of the school year.

Strike a light, 20 000 teachers for one city! Wow - our largest State has 58 000 teachers!

LOL! Dallas is a big district.

My principal showed this to us last week, as inspiration for the new year. I thought the teachers here might appreciate it.

It kind of makes you in awe of the responsibility we have when we walk into a school. From a Christian stand point, even Jesus talked about better to have a millstone tied around your neck and be drowned rather than lead even a single child astray..........Kind of makes you pause and think.

Wow! What a charismatic child?!

I loved that! It brought back some of the feelings that I had when I started teaching.

I actually teared up.

And I agree with WISYS, thanks for your words, Winn! I'm mindful of the job ahead of me daily. It keeps me humble because it's quite a big undertaking...teaching.

And thank you for sharing WISYS.

The kid is very charismatic and poised but this kind of broohaha really doesn't speak to me. I'm more motivated by the kids who will actually be my students and seeing them succeed. I guess it's the scientist in me that prefers data and results.
