PoliticalChick01 would love some yummy jam

Being originally from Michigan myself, nothing says summer like going strawberry or cherry picking (never was one to go blueberry picking or raspberry picking).

My mom was like "homemade jam making queen" and have fond memories growing up of her spending a lot kitchen along with canning pears and peaches.

Seeing that you have been canning for a bit, I'll start out by saying you have about 125 pints canned so far.

Officiating judge comments: entries must be in the form of x pints (+1/2 pint if you wish).

My guess is 102 pints of yummy goodness.

I remeber making jam with my mom as a kid and using an old pillow case. Strange, but true.

I am on a Mission to win this Jam.
.Since I have no idea how much freezer jam you made to subtract from the grand total,...I am going out on a limb here and say....I'll trade you a jar of my world famous pickled Asparagus ( with hot peppers and garlic ) for a wee sample of your jam. If you are not into hot...then I will guess...you started with 51 lbs of fruit + sugar = 25 big jars of jam times 4 (... the # or 1/2 pints in a big jar.....) + 2% room for error... I am guessing 107 half pints where one of the things that were put down while in Michigan.

Please explain "sparingly"? One drop? One teaspoon? One tablespoon? One lick of someone's used spoon? Or one sniff?

Guess the amount of jams to the nearest half pint (total jam made)...
Here are your clues: I use no pectin in the jams, just the fruit, lemon juice and sugar. Everything is hot-packed. We picked cherries in the double digits of pounds, raspberries in the double digits of quarts and strawberries in the double digits of quarts - not under 10 and not over 30 on any of them.
These are clues? Yeah, they really helped me out here ... uhm ... 25 pints.
