Good news! I have been a representative for Life Choices (a pro-life organization that promotes pregnant women to keep their children and avoid abortion) here in Dyersburg, TN for many months now. I just received news that another mother-to-be has chosen to give birth to her child! This tallies to more than 20 mothers (Life Choices clients) this year who have chosen life instead of abortion. More good news………. Life Choices representatives are meeting with Congressman John Tanner (of Tennessee) to voice our opposition to having any funding for abortion included in the new, government proposed health care plan. The reps will be submitting signed petitions that encourage exclusion of any abortion clauses. We are faithfully praying for all of these women (and couples) who consider abortion as a viable solution to pregnancy. We also pray that our government will abolish pro-abortion attitudes and laws in this country. We truly hope that God will continue to tug at the hearts of everyone who considers abortion and sway them to choose life. Please pray along with us for these mothers and fathers to be, and for our government and country. Thanks.

Ritchie

Below is an exceprt from a signed letter that I have addressed to Congressman John Tanner regarding my views on abortion:

I would first like to state that my intentions in this letter are to condemn only the idea of abortion and not to condemn those who support the idea of abortion. I will be completely candid with my views regarding abortion: Frankly, Congressman Tanner, I believe abortion has become a legalized form of murder in this country. I also believe that by legalizing this procedure, we have contradicted the very foundation of our own constitution, which grants us pursuit of life, liberty, and happiness. I feel America is tearing down the moral fabric of our country by condoning, supporting, and legalizing the taking of innocent life from the mothers’ wombs. I truly hope and pray that our country shifts in a direction that will condemn the principles behind making abortion and acceptable practice.
