Is it just my imagination or are the greatest percentage of women that actually communicate online, are in fact just advertising? I seem to get the greatest number of inquiries from "women" that are asking me to reply to some random e-mail address or direct me to another site as a first communication or have a profile that is dead less than 24 hours after the message was sent. Sorry for all the 'or's.

I thought that the anonymity that being online would bring would be liberating.

It's your imagination. You can bet it's balanced by men doing the same thing. Keep posting, keep communicating; the best and most ready will find you.

Tell them that you're not ready for that step, and you feel more comfortable where you are currently. If they balk at that, it's their problem, not yours. You want mutual respect, and if you don't have it, why would you go any further? If you lose them over basic communication, what have you lost anyway? Hope this helps, Suzie

I agree with 1horselady....I like the anonymity & I had communitcated through the eharmony email until I felt comfortable enough to give my own email out; & that is why I had not posted or post a pix when people nudge for one; I like the site (to get to know someone first before getting to personal).

Many (of both sexes) like to play games. Most deny this.

On the other hand, folks could just be cautious?
Playing it safe?
Trying not to get burned (again)?
Or trying to screen out any lurking weirdo?

The chances are these women were taking advantage of the " free weekend " and come Monday they would no longer be able to chat with you on Eharmony
