This is for you guys 55+. Just finished another first meeting with an older gentleman which left me with a question. Are there any liberals out there, or have all they all become fundamentalist, radical republicans? I am not looking for some antiquated flower child but some where to the left of the radical right or at least tolerant of other opinions.

I'm a 42 year old man but I hope I can help answer this. I have the same problem as you only with women.
Mostly it's with where I live. A very conservative city. But within it I know there are more progressive thinkers but they're hard to find.

It's strictly a matter of what region you live in. See this chart

Well I grant you that the middle of Kansas isn't exactly a liberal bastion, but really not all the guys I went to college with could have turned into Republicans, district court judges and college presidents. Maybe they just dropped out too far and never dropped back in.

Google "Party affiliation (or preference) by age, Kansas. Click on Images and search for the one that answers your question.

I'm in my 40s and I have the exact opposite problem-all the women online are radical Liberal freakoid Superfeminists? Is there some code that women must be Liberal? And I'm no longer a Christian so I don't look to Conservative Christian women.

Most feminists seem to have the attitude that "I don't need a man" but want a piece of furniture in their house (man.) Whatever happened to good ole romance? It's all feels materialistic.

Feminists in my man's point of view, ruined families and America. Most online appear to be spoiled and not worth the effort. Tolerant of other opinions-are you aware that Liberal feminist law changes = 26,000 fathers a year committing suicide over parental alienation?

I think women like to bury their heads and not realize the hatred out there. I've seen young guys on the internet talk about going out and shooting feminists. You can't crush men (laws) and then expect us to be liberals.

I lost the question thru a glitch here.

Wow feminists ruined the family (laws) and ruined America. Of course men are going to be upset about that (and NOT tolerant of liberal feminist opinions.)

If men stepped on your throat and legally made you a 2nd class Citizen, you would be upset too.

Oh Rogue you put too many of us in one big bunch. Yes, I am liberal, I vote democrat and one of my sons served as an Army Ranger. I know there are those out there who hate America and we have to defend ourselves, just not in some of the ways we have in the past. I like to shoot guns, but don't think every idiot has a right to have one. I believe in a society that provides health care and support for education, but know quite well there are those out there who take advantage of the compassionate. I just refuse to allow them to negate all the good that needs to be done. Yes I expect to be treated equally, but love it when you open a door or jar for me.

I guess you need to check out certain tribes of men who tend to be Democratic. Like artists, teachers, those who work for nonprofits and the lower income. I'm right of center and don't believe in all the Republican stuff.

For example I believe low income inner-city children should have free lunches & milk. While I'm concerned Obama is moving too fast with healthcare, I agree people should have health insurance.

I don't like how the Liberal word has come to mean a cuss word by Republicans. Not every Liberal is bad and without Liberals, Conservatives
like me might become greedy or make bad decisions.

While I'm pro-gun I'm also pro-choice. It's a woman's body; she should have the main decision over it. Good luck to your son and you.
