I'd rather be a cougar than a creepy old lady.

Is there an upper age limit for cougars? When do they become creepy old ladies? 45/25 seems fine. 55/25 seems fine. 65/25 seems ok. 75/25 -- fine. 85/25 ok.

No I guess not. Remember that movie with 70+ Ruth Gordon and some little 20-year-old? I forget the name. They had a lovely little relationship.

well, I think when i turn 40 i should stick to 28+. I think 40/21-24 is a little weird.

however, i may change my mind in 4 years.

I thought the term applied mainly to 40 something women on the prowl. So in a way it creeps me out, a little Mrs Robinsonish, and I don't know if I could get nekked with a guy a lot younger than me

Fine. I'll fess up since I already did on the other thread.

At the Halloween party last Saturday night (and Sunday morning) I was not intending to do anything other than flirt with some middle-aged doctors. But there were none of them and plenty of margaritas.

So one guy started flirting with me and we ended up kissing (that's ALL we did!) and snuggling and falling asleep together. I'm 44 and he's 27.

Yeah.

And I'm not a big fan of the word Cougar because it sounds downright predatory.

Wow, a cool accent AND a younger man. Oooooh! ; )

My cougar story was accidental. Really, I thought he was older. I was 45...he was 33 or so. We met skiing in British Columbia. He even flew out to the west coast afterwards, and I flew to Florida once. Nice guy, tall and cute, eager to please, but kinda clueless. Maybe it's a flaw of mine, but I found it challenging to be in the 'teacher' role.

The funniest part was that he felt he never told his Southern Baptist mom he was visiting me on the west coast. Mommy wouldn't have approved of her son dating a divorced, single-mother 12 years older than him, I guess. I remember the conversation, "you LIED to your MOM?!"

We kept in touch and several years later he told me I was the only 'normal' woman he'd dated. Poor guy.

Nothing to do with you Scarlet..

I wonder if some women find it offensive to be labeled a cougar?
I don't and yet I just recently started to identify with the label. I was just going for guys that were interesting to me and didn't pay attention to age. The other question about what age defines a cougar. I think it's more of an attitude than an age. I'm 51 going to be 52 this Sat. The youngest guy I'm seeing now is 39 and the oldest is 55. Most are in their 40's ie 41,42,49. Right now I'm getting to know 5 guys. This has been rather interesting! I find the younger guys can keep up with me and that I don't put any relationship pressure on them. I don't want to have any more kids. I have a secure job and can take care of myself. So I get to know them as a person. They know I want that person in my life because I like their company, not for what they can provide.

That's great you go for guys that interest you rather than age.
five guys huh, That's a lot to juggle.Personally I couldn't do that..I am horrible with names.. lol

What I highlighted in red is similar to what I was saying in an earlier post (page 2)

The term cougar can be an attitude. I still thinks it's a label and there shouldn't be one..It's just a personal preference as to what age range you pull from.

Hope you have a great birthday on Saturday.
five guys should mean five gifts right? lol
