i don't know why you want to talk about your matches in PMs- but that is your prerogative.

but about your first question, i admit to doing something very similar to what you are doing for the first round of questions.

those questions are so canned and boring. and i have written my own answers- so really they are not canned. i at least am not picking on of the multiple choice answers- which i think of as very lame.

and in the second round, i always come up with my own questions based on what i have learned about that person up to that point.

and it goes a long way with me if my match does the same and writes her own question.
That's a great idea ... I had trouble with those standard answers too. I was answering with my own words for the most part.

Tender Poet- I do the same thing! I think it keeps me MORE honest and truthful. Sometimes, after reading a profile...and seeing pics of a great looking guy...I might be tempted to "spin" my answers to sound more appealing to a particular match. If I stick with my "pre-scripted" answers, I am held accountable to the truth. After all, we are both (the match and I) looking for someone we are truly compatible with...I would rather be rejected online, than have to pretend to be someone I'm not!!

I had been on dating sites for about 4 years and at first had canned answers. I decided to change that as I began to grow and change through the process. The sites are a good resource for personal development and growth.

What is going to happen when you have spent all that time with canned answers and begin to interact with a real woman? Why not use this time to develop your communication skills better.

I personally never met a compatible match until I came in here. I have been getting to know a woman who exceeds my wildest dreams with her personality, spirituality, intelligence, values, beauty and lovelyness. Keep encouraged in finding the special gem for your life.
