Hello again all. As you might of seen I started a posting yesterday on introductions. Today I wish to fallow though on what I said in the introductions on poetry. I will post from time to time in this thread some of my poems. I will start you all off with one of my best poems. I would also encourage any one that has any of there own poetry, if it is Christ like, to post it here. I'll also keep you posted on my status in EH, so far just a few leads, no current open communications, as of yet. Enjoy the poem!

Sculpted Glass

We, being formed from sand, are like glass.

In the fire, with Christ’s help, impurities come out in abundant mass.

Like a master glass blower,

Christ puts out His Shepard’s staff into the fire.

We then have a choice,

To adhere to his staff or not, to adhere is my desire.

Once we adhere to Christ’s will for our lives,

He breathes His breath of life into us.

Christ then proceeds to form us

Into the masterful work of His will.

We then, filled with living water,

On others we will spill.

Though like glass we can break,

Either through sin or not following the Master’s will,

The awesome thing is

That Christ can pick up the fragments of our lives

And put us back in the fire.

Christ then reshapes us once again

Into the masterful work which we aspire.

So I plead with you this,

Let Christ form you and save you

And others from the abyss.

Lovely poem. I recently wrote one that I'd like to share. It is a poem I wrote during a poetry group during a recent inpatient stay at the local mental health unit. I believe it is the best poem I have written in my life because of the powerful way it describes my emotions at the time.

Oceans of the Night

Helpless, loneliness ~ rain in the night
Compression from the inside and out

Like a diamond compressed in the darkness of death...
So is my lonely heart

Clouded in the night, hidden by the fog
I lurk in the shadows, waiting for the stars to shine

My God, who's eyes are on the powerless,
He will carry me through the night,
And lead me to the dawn

So I sail through the oceans of the night
And I wait...
I wait for land...
And the hope of friendship

I wait for my God, Here I am...
Carry me through autumn, through winter...
Until the ice breaks and the flowers bloom

Paint me a picture of hope,
Let me see the art in your eyes

Transparency of your love is what I long for.

OK now for a poem that I wrote that can be used in any relationship with the opposite sex, on any level. I will post a romantic one in a few days. For now this will warm your hearts and wet your apatite for more.

A rose

A rose is some thing fragrant yet has thorns.
A rose is some thing that is lovely,

yet resounds with trumpet and horns.
A rose is some thing to show love.
A rose is a sign of love like a dove.
A rose is also some thing to say good bye.
So, take this rose, please don't make me cry!

Here is a poem for all those that are going though difficult times and are felling misunderstood.

P

To strain to perfection is impossible.

I can only be myself.

That is the only thing possible.

Like Pi, people try to analyze me and figure me out,

But in trying to solve this long number,

You will miss what I am all about!

I am about Love and Selflessness

Like that of Christ Jesus.

Just trying to be the best mirror

I can possibly be.

So please stop judging

And just love me!

OK, this poem I wrote thinking of my future bride to be. The person that God has for me. I plan on sharing it with my partner presenting it with a potted rose. I also intend to hand write it on a piece of old style paper, the kind that looks like it is burned or perforated on the edges. I then intend to orate it to her as well. So here goes guys, enjoy girls (=.

The Flower

Beloved, this flower I present unto you,

For it is Agape and Eros for which is due.

For like this Flower our relationship needs care.

We both pray for true love, of this we are both aware.

Like this flower with the right care our relationship will blossom,

and the bonds we will form will be simply awesome.

You and I both want to see our relationship grow,

so, unto you this flower and poem I bestow.
