Glad to SEE the guy who makes your typed words sing. I know that there is a lot of growing to do in any new relationship, but from what you write, you seem to be setting good priorities for creating a healthy relationship.

My friend is being encouraging and patient with my business in prepping for the coming school year. Yet, he is also helping me balance so its going quite well right now.

I may be getting a new old car, 8 years younger than my present one. Hope all the details work out for it since it will improve gas mileage (important since I work in a town next to our city so have to do driving to get to school.)

So that is my catch-up news.

Well, um... the cowboy is gone.

Seems he's quite racist, something that doesn't come up when you're out in the middle of nowhere, putting up fences. I was stunned speechless (how often does THAT happen!) by what he said, and I think he realized my horror because he never talked to me again after that. Which is fine.

Both of my choirs start up again in a week or two, so that will be fun!

And I think I raised a good one! My son moved into his own place a couple of months ago, and he calls me about once a week just to talk and not even ask for anything!

I sing in one at my church and another community one in conjunction with a local opera company. It gets interesting sometimes!

Hi Paul!! Welcome back! It's great to have you on the boards again and I'm glad you've found something positive in this thread - that makes me smile. I've had a lot of fun with it and it does seem to be a place where people can just relax and have some fun or post about things that matter deeply to them without fear of starting any controversy.

Thanks, lindsey. We just sang again for the first time yesterday after our summer hiatus. Really nice getting to see good friends again.

I'm glad to see things are still going well with your honey!

I LOVE this video! Thank you for posting it.

More good news:

My mom talked to Steve on the phone the other day and called him "son." I talked to her again today and she told me she thinks he has been good for me. She says I seem much happier and more at peace than I have been for a long, long time. She's very impressed with him. This is a complete reversal of her original reaction to the news that I was dating him and is a huge answer to prayer!
