Also, by underrated I mean they may get respect from fellow actors ("actor's actor")but most everyday people don't know them like household name actors such as Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt. I guess our definitions of underrated may differ here :-)
Well I guess I mean film lovers as this is the cateogory and those are who would be deciding...the movie goer. Who would know, and why would it matter, how someone is regarded in their inner circle?

There's actually a website about this that truly tries to make an objective measure of how the celeb matches their perception.

Is Kevin Bacon over or under?

You've got to see Daniel Craig in Infamous. He just takes over the role, and you wouldn't even recognize him. It's actually the first film that I saw him in (he has brown hair), and didn't recognize him at first in other films.
Sorry it took me so long to reply to this. I have to wait until I see it on tv, and it's on at the right time, but thank you for the recommendation of this film. I will try to see it asap. Suzie

[quote=WeDesignOurLives;5602]Tom Holze is underated...never caught a good break after Dominic and Eugene.

It's Tom Hulse and I agree, I heard he does a lot of stage work

It's Tom Hulce and it's gained quite some weight.

Is Gene Hackman underated? (couldn't possibly be overrated).

Gene Hackman? I consider him an actor's actor. He can hold his own against anyone. Although doing Shakespeare would be a stretch. His longevity speaks for itself, you think?

My underated actor would be John Corbet(t)(didn't look right with only one t). He's good in whatever you put him in, including comedy. I'd like to see him get better roles, and not just doing Applebees commercials. Suzie
