I'm 28 and recently divorced, and have been out of the dating scene for quite some time (9yrs), the bars are not really my bag, I do enjoy drinking here and there, just figured most people go to bars to get hammered, not hook up, so here I am.

Everyone tells me you're not going to find the type of guy you're looking for in a bar. So where do you find him? I figured this was worth a shot . . .

I am 23 and as said many times in this tread the bar sceane is not my ideal place to find ms. right. I work part time as a bartender, from my side of the bar watching people meet at a bar is more sitcom then soap opera. And my real job is 95% male not much of a chance meeting any one there. so I too joined the band wagon and joined EH. only been on a few days but we will see where it takes me.

I'm jaded from meaningless relationships. Everything is better when you're with someone you care about and who is willing to get to know you. I know that the bars and clubs are horrible places to meet decent women....I'm not sure I'd even classify most of the females there as real women. Same with the men though.....it's just a morally demeaning meat market. Hopefully I can find something here on eHarmony. We'll see.

I'm only 23 but I've been to about 1,000 weddings in the past 2 years. Everyone I know is married. I'm not necessarily interested in getting married this instant, just having a date to bring to the rest of the weddings.

I'm 28 and don't care for the bar scene. I tried the setups through friends and family, and had some scary dates going that route. I realized nobody but me knows who would be right for me. I tried eH on a whim but can't say I've had any success.

I'm only 22 but I'm one of those girls that's always been quiet and afraid to put herself out. I dress for comfort and don't try to doll myself up when I go anywhere. I have some weight on my belly and thanks to my hair being short sometimes get told I look masculine thanks to the weight/hair combo and how thick my bones on my wrists and legs are. When I hang out with guys I get considered one of them because of my personality, when I hang out with girls I get treated as the guy because I'm always quiet and they come to me with their problems looking for help and a direction. I gave up on attempting to go out and find a guy that would rather date me than consider me another one of the guys, they see me before they see my personality and make their assumptions quickly that I'm butch or whatever. When I saw something about EH I figured I'd give it a shot and so far haven't been too impressed with it but I'll give it a shot I said. We'll see.
