I just got home from one of the BEST conversations that I have had all year! That's pretty amazing because I talk a lot. Anyhow, thought I'd share with you. I'm hoping for as many to pray for Koraima as possible because she is ateacher who is muslim and has spoken out against Christianity, Catholocism, and America in the classroom. (After hearing about this, I had to keep my distance for some time to cool off.)
Okay, so to the meat of the message. We spoke for about an hour after school about religion. The Lord put the words in my mouth. It wasn't me at all! The conversation started with me commenting on an email that had been sent to all staff members called the Echo of Life. I told her that I had enjoyed reading it. Then the Lord took over...I said something like, "That's how I as a Christian try to live my life." We discussed some of the teachings of what we believe. Then Koraima said, "We muslims celebrate one of your holidays." Can't remember what it's called in islam, but it"s Passover for us. Then my mouth took off running again as I got excited about explaining the Passover procedure as Pastor Anthony had preached, at least as best as I could. (Not quite as dynamic as he is in my explanation, but it I think it was good enough.)

Then I asked her if she believed in Jesus Christ as the Son of God. She said they believe that Jesus Christ was born of the virgin Mary, but that He was only a messenger. They don't believe that God would choose one man to be His Son. I explained briefly that we believe God is in three persons called the Trinity, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. I also told her that the Bible tells us that Jesus Christ is the only way to heaven. He had to be born of a virgin in order to be perfect because all of us born of men are sinners.

Then I told her about the relationship between the crucifixion of Christ and the Passover Sacrifice. This was something that she had never thought about. She knows the story of Passover, so it was very easy to explain the parallelism. I told her that just as the Israelites brushed the lamb's blood over their door post as a covering protecting them from the wrath of God, Jesus' blood, as a perfect man without sin, covers us from the wrath of God when we choose Him as our Savior. I told her, we believe that Jesus is the Son of God, because He was without sin and had a specific job to do here on earth. His job was to die for our sins as a blameless Lamb because we are full of sin and cannot do it ourselves. God proves His grace by giving us Christ, whom we don't deserve. God proves His mercy by Dying as Christ, the blood covering us which protects us from God's wrath which we do deserve.
In fact, in Jewish tradition, the Israelites would select the healthiest lamb with a pure white coat that was only a year old two weeks before Passover. The lamb would live in the house with them and become a part of their family. On the day of Passover, the father/head of the household would call of the children to watch as he lifted the lamb's chin and cut it's neck. The children would see the crimson blood flow over the pure white wool of the lamb's coat. This is a symbol of Christ's sacrifice for us.

That's what I said! Wait, that's what God said through me! I'm on like cloud 99! Who needs drugs when you can experience High's like this. What's more is that Koraima said that she would like to speak more with me about these things. WOW! What a priviledge and responsibility!

Hope you will join me in prayer over Koraima pronounced (Kor-aim-ah.) The importance of this is that God is moving! His timing is perfect. I wouldn't have been able to speak to Koraima like I did today without the knowledge and growth that I have received since January.
Who are the nations that God has called you to reach out to? Do you love them enough to inform them of the grace and mercyof God? Or do you hate them so much that you will stay silent?
Share the stories of your outreach to serve as an encouragement as we seek to plant seeds that will mature into a great harvest. All nations will bow down before Yahweh because He alone is holy, holy, holy. Amen!

one thing you are going to have to do is to be careful here as the muslums out number us cristins, so at some point we need to come to a compromise with them or we will never get along

I disagree with you on that one TW. There is no such thing as being careful when God calls us to obedience. They may outnumber us, but Israel is drastically outnumbered and God is powerful enough to protect them, so I believe that He will protect me until my work on earth is done. Then He will call me up and I will sit at His feet in Heaven lifting my hands in worship and singing His praise.

Every Christian is called to go out and reach, disciple, and fellowship. What have we to fear? No weapon or man can destroy us when God is with us. Be bold in the Lord! Do not forget the joy of your salvation. Our Lord defeated Death and Sin! If He can do that, He can defeat the false teachings of all other faiths. It takes investment and love in the lives of the Lost.

Jenn,

So great to hear. Isn't it amazing what God can accomplish when we let Him do His work through us instead of us trying to do His work for Him? As He promises, He will give us the words to say if we are just yielded.
