Here's a message that will bring you chills.

Have you ever felt the urge to pray for someone andthen just put it on a list and said, 'I'll pray for them later?'

Or has anyone ever called you and said, 'I need you to pray for me, I have this need?'

Read the following story that was sent to me andmay it change the way that you may think about prayer and also the way youpray. You will be blessed by this....

A missionary on furlough told this true story whilevisiting his home church in Michigan.

'While serving at a small field hospital in Africa ,every two weeks I traveled by bicyclethrough the jungle to a nearby city for supplies. This was a journey of two days andrequired camping overnight at the halfway point.

On one of these journeys, I arrived in the citywhere I planned to collect money from a bank, purchase medicine, and supplies, and then beginmy two-day journey back to the field hospital. Upon arrival in the city, I observed two men fighting, one of whom had been seriously injured.I treated him for his injuries and at the same timetalked to him about the Lord.
I then traveled two days, camping overnight, andarrived home without incident....

Two weeks later I repeated my journey.
Upon arriving in the city,I was approached by the young man I had treated. He told me that he had known I carriedmoney and medicines.

He said, 'Some friends and I followed you into the jungle, knowing you would camp overnight. We planned to kill you and take your money and drugs. But just as we were about to move into your camp, we saw that you were surrounded by 26 armed guards.
At this, I laughed and said that I wascertainly all alone in that jungle campsite.

The young man pressed the point, however, and said, 'No, sir, I was not the only person to see the guards,my friends also saw them, and we all counted them. It was because of those guards thatwe were afraid and left you alone'

At this point in the sermon, one of the men in the congregation jumped to his feet and
interrupted the missionary and asked if he could tell him the exact daythis happened.

The missionary told the congregation the date, andthe man who interrupted told him this story:'On the night of your incident in Africa ,it was morning here and I was preparing to go play golf.
I was about to putt when I felt the urge to pray for you. In fact, the urging of the Lord was so strong, I called men in this church to meet with me herein the sanctuary to pray for you. Would all of those men who met with me on that day stand up?'

The men who had met together to pray that day stood up. The missionary wasn't concerned with who they were,he was too busy counting how many men he saw.

There were 26!

This story is an incredible example of howthe Spirit of the Lord moves in mysterious ways. If you ever hear such prodding, go along with it. Nothing is ever hurt by prayer except the gates of hell.

I encourage you to forward this to as many peopleas you know. If we all take it to heart,we can turn this world toward God once again.

As the above true story clearly illustrates,'With God all things are possible'. More importantly, how God hears andanswers the prayers of the faithful. After you read this, please pass it on andgive God thanks for the beautiful gift of your faith, for the powerful gift of prayer, and for the many miracles He works in your own daily life... and then pass it on.

Who says God does not work in mysterious ways? I asked the Lord to bless you as I prayed for you today. To guide you and protect you as you go along your way. His
love is always with you, His promises are true, andwhen we give Him our cares you
know He will see us through. So when the road you're traveling on seemsdifficult at best, just remember I'm here praying, and God will do the rest.

Pass this on to those whom you want God to bless.

Matt 6:33 Seek first His kingdom and Hisrighteousness, and all these things shall be given unto you

You too? I had shivers running through me as i read it and, yes, i have had experiences like that. I'm in a night class where all but one of the students knew that my husband had died from cancer just before Christmas. In January I went back to class and the first person I met was the one student who had not been in class the day everyone was told that my husband had died. The first thing she asked was how my husband was doing and I had to tell her that he had died. Her immediate reaction was, "No wonder i had this urge to pray for you during the Christmas holidays. i didn't know why but I just knew I hgad to pray."

These are amazing experiences! I have a friend who has a tendency to call me whenever I need God's affirmation. The last big one happened in the summer of 2005. I had signed up to go on a group mission trip to Romania. I had just gotten out of a bad career choice and had very little money in the bank. I still had a little over $500 to pay on the trip and all of the fundraising had been done.

So my friend Traci calls me one day. She says, "Hey Jenn, you've just really been on my heart and mind all day. How are things?"

"Well," I replied, "I've been on several job interviews, nothing has panned out and I'm supposed to go on this mission trip that isn't paid for. I'm thinking it's not God's time for me to go."

Traci said, "How will it affect you if you don't go? Will you have any regrets?"

I said, "Physically it won't affect me at all. Sure, I'll have regrets cause I got the passport and only have $500 more to go til the trip is paid for."

Traci prayed for me. As she did, I got a revisit from a sermon I had heard ten years prior. The pastor said, "If you close your hand on what you've got (what I was doing to my bank account,) God won't take anything away. That also means that He can't put anything in your hand. Once you open your hand, He'll take away what He doesn't want you to have, but fill you with what He wants to fill you with."

I paid off the mission trip the very next day. One week later, I was interviewed and hired at my current school. A couple of weeks later, I was on the mission trip and got to give my testimony to the gypsy women twice at the first women conferences in their churches.

God places people in our lives to help direct our path and bless us abundantly. He uses us to bless and lift each other up in fellowship, prayer, encouragement, companionship, and faithfulness. Let us remember to not ignore the prodding of our hearts. For if our desires are in alignment with His will, His wonders come forth.

I have a neat story to relay. There had been an accident on the interstate tying up traffic for miles upon miles both directions. The person in the accident had been seriously injured and was to be air lifted to a hospital upon the arrival of the helicopter. Months later after the person recovered they recounted this story. While unconscious and in between life and death they were floating above their body looking at all the traffic backed up by the accident, but there was one vehicle that seemed to be emitting rays upward. They floated near the car and took note of the license plate. Not knowing how to reach that person they contacted the motor vehicle office with the license plate number inquiring of the vehicle's owner. When they finally met the owner they recanted the story about how they were floating above the accident scene but was intrigued to investigate the vehicle that had rays of light emitting skyward. The woman who owned the car said she had been praying for the person's involved in the accident. Now that is POWERFUL prayer in action!

Along the theme of "divine intervention" we have going here - I have 2 stories to share.

In 1996, an old friend that I grew up with and went to college with called me up from his new home in Texas and told me that he had an extra ticket for several events at the Olympics in Atlanta and asked me if I wanted to go. Of course I said yes! He only asked that I rent a car big enough for 4 people and that I pick him up at the Atlanta airport.

So I get all excited and everything organized, planning to allow plenty of travel time (I was shooting for getting to the airport 1-2 hours early). The day I was supposed to leave, everything that could go wrong went wrong. The friend who was supposed to take me to pick up the rental had an early morning meeting so I was an hour late getting to the rental car company. No real problem yet because I had plenty of time built in. When I got to the car rental place (was using one of the cheap ones) - they had lost my reservation and didn't have any unreserved 4 doors. After 45 minutes I looked over the desk and pointed out that my name was there on one of those reserved cars- it was just very badly misspelled. Now - I'm a little worried but I head off in a run. I stop by AAA to pick up my maps (for the younguns' on the board - in the days before MapQuest, when going to an unfamiliar city you could call AAA and they would have little packets with Maps and directions for everything you needed waiting for you). So at AAA I ran in, they gave me the packet, I got about 5 miles down the road and realized they had given me someone else's maps - so I had to turn around and go back. My day was not off to a good start. So I hit the interstate, pushing the speed limit as much as I dared. Things went pretty well until I hit Charlotte. I hit the worst road construction traffic I have ever seen. The traffic jam went from Charlotte,NC until almost Greenville, SC. By this time I am very late. I called my friend's voicemail several times expecting him to call me on a layover - but I never heard from him. By the time I got to Atlanta - I was in afternoon rush hour. Finally, I made it to the airport almost 3 hours after my friends plan was supposed to land. Still I had not heard from him. So, I am trying to find a parking place and figure out what to do and my cell phone rings. My friend's first plane was delayed by a couple of hours and he was running too hard to make the connecting flight that he didn't get a chance to call me. He was worried that I had been sitting at the airport all that time. So he got his luggage and still in rush hour traffic traffic we made our way to the hotel. Naturally, the hotel messed up our reservations. After much ado at the front desk, we got it all straightened out. We had tickets for a ceremony that night - but by this time this had been one long, frustrating day. The other 2 of this group had flown in the previous day from Oregon and had been going all day - and still recovering from the time difference. So, we decided to skip the cermony that night. We figured we'd go to bed early and get an early start in the morning since we were going to early events.

The next morning as everyone was up and getting ready - someone had the TV on watching the news. The ceremony that we skipped is the one that was bombed.

OK - enough for tonight. I'll add the other story tomorrow.
