All of us that are EH members certainly know all the frustrations that can happen from EH's marketing "Free-Trial Weekends."

This may include:

The inability to communicate with "free" members...

Being undulated with numerous matches (not always a bad thing)...

No photos posted

The most vaguely written profiles consisting of 1 - 3 words, not to mention sections they didn't even bother to include...

Etc, Etc, Etc

Do you leave your Match Setting as is and why ??

Do you change your Match Settings to OFF and why ??

JUST saw the commercial for this... free communication weekend! That means they can do more than send ice breakers? I might turn my matching off for a few days.

Not sure if "free communication" means just Icebreakers or the sky's the limit...their commericals are a bit vague, you know?

I don't know about Icebreakers, but you can otherwise go through the communication process; you just can't see photos.

During an FCW, nonsubscribers can do everything except see photos, see Who Has Viewed Me, initiate FastTrack, and accept FastTrack.

its only three days, how bad can it be? Anyone with experience with the free communication weekends, chime in.

My match options won't change, although I may be exercising that close button finger.

I already got one junk match today (someone preparing for the weekend I suspect). There were actually fewer questions answered than I thought it was possible to complete the process with. It has one rather nice photo, but only two "about me" questions answered, so smells of scammer.

You guys are all looking at it the wrong way!

I consider the Free Weekends a good way to clean up all those Matches that have no responded!

I do a Nudge or IceBreaker at the start of the Free Weekend on all those non-responsive matches. Since we have to assume a lot of them are freebies, some of them might actually respond. After the free weekend, you can safely Close out all the non-responders as truly "Gone", as not even the Free Weekend can get them out.
