I can't tell you how many men under 5'8" I was sent when preferences stated 5'10" - 6'3" and it was extremely important. That really frustrated me before and I hope things are better this time around. I suppose they feel the eH profile should win out but I still have a strong preference when it comes to the physical side.

I guess the burden is on our side to weed out the "misfits".

For you, it won't be better this time. Let me guarantee you that the matchmaking computer does not read and cannot understand the "preferences stated 5'10" - 6'3"" you wrote in your profile. The software cannot understand English sentences.

You cannot set a height range preference. It says right there on the eharmony's help system under "How does height figure into the matching process?"

If you call short men "misfits" -- even with the quotes -- then I assure you that eHarmony is not for you. Sorry.
Short men are not "misfits". One of my matches is 5'5" and we have become good friends. We have been slowly getting to know each other for the past 1 1/2 years, and I am finding we have many things in common. We even think similar, as in one conversation I discovered that we both used to have an aversion to writing on the pages of our Bibles, for instance. Is he the one? As a Christian, I believe that only God knows.

By the way, this match is not too short for me, as I stand 5'1".
