I would really like everyones opinion on this. Is E Harmony really any better than the other dating sites? It seems that if guys are on one they are on all of them. I would like to give E Harmony a shot, but just want tomake sure I am not going to be matched to the same guys that are on other sites. Does that make sense? I am thinkingE Harmony may be a better site since it seems to have more rules???
It is true I have seen some of the same people on 3 different sites. To be honest I think internet dating sucks. I think the problem with all of these sites including eharmony, are the non-paying members. They might actually work if people took it seriously.
I am currently on eharm but will not renew after this month.
I have been on for 7 months and I haven't even spoke with anyone on the phone (and im not ugly, if thats what you're thinking.lol) The problem is that about 5% of my mathces have been paying members. The other 95% were non-paying.
I basically paid $190 to look at profiles with no pics and half finished information. That's alot of money these days.
I recently was exited to see 8 new matches. Realtiy set in when I opened all of them and saw no pics and half done information. Yeah Im gonna fall in love with that.
So 7 months of nothing. Obviously if you stay on long enough , you'll find someone. I know people meet someone great after a year and so on. BUt I personally am done.

I joined eharmony just 2 weeks ago and have received 120 matches so far. All of them have been both in my age range and specified area. I am currently communicating (at various stages) with 7 of them. This is a lot more than I had initially expected but they send at least 7 new matches everyday. Most seem pretty compatible and have a lot of the same interest...I don't see why many other people are having problems with compatibility or lack of matches.
Where do you LIVE. That's the ticket . I live in a semi rural KS community (20k population). Most of my matches come from bigger towns in Colorado, Oklahoma, KS, etc. Population is key..it's a numbers game. I have ~60 matches. Have only actually "talked' to one, who is a decent match, but 200 miles away (one of the closer ones that have actually turned out to be "active" on EH). Most are not active/nonpaying members/or both.
