Some input please. What do you think? How can I improve it?

The one thing I am most passionate about:

I'm most passionate about the people in my life. I enjoy a lot in life but without loved ones to share it with it's not worth a thing.

The most important thing I am looking for in a person is:

Someone who is mature without being boring. You know the kind. Someone who wants a family. Someone who will be who they are regardless of what others think. Someone who can hold down a job (or be committed to school if they are younger). But someone who can still have a good time and be a little crazy if the situations calls for it.

The most influential person in my life has been:

This would probably be my grandfather. He was a family man. He loved his children and his grandchildren. He was always there for you and not ashamed to express his feelings to you. When the whole world didn't make sense he was always there and caring. He was a man of the highest integrity. He was intelligent. He was hard working. He was a real man. The kind of man I try to be every day of my life. I love him and I miss him but he couldn't have left a better impression on the world and my life personally.
The three things which I am most thankful for:

  • All of the great relationships I have in my life with my family, friends and other great people.
  • The opportunities I've received in life to be successful, have fun and enjoy life whenever possible.
  • The simple pleasures so often taken for granted in life. Loving, laughing, food on the table, a warm bed, etc.

Three of my best life-skills are:

  • Using humor to make friends laugh
  • Long-term personal planning
  • Being a good friend and companion

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me:

How insanely rich I am. Actually, forget about other people. I would settle for myself noticing it. Like maybe next payday.

The things I can't live without are:

  • My family and friends
  • A fulfilling job
  • Good music
  • Football (Go Chiefs!)
  • Books

The first thing people notice about me:

I like to have fun. I know, weird right? A person who enjoys fun. But put me around my friends and we just have a good time. I don't care if people think we're a little strange at times. You only live once. Neither of us will remember the other one tomorrow. I'd rather be the one laughing.

Some additional information I want you to know:

You should probably know I sometimes travel for work. So if we're communicating and I don't answer for a week it doesn't necessarily mean I'm ignoring you. It might just mean I'm out of town and can't make it to a computer. If you want anymore information then contact me.

My interests

I typically spend my leisure time:

I love going out. A group of friends out at the bowling alley. Going to the lake for a campfire and maybe a round of fishing. Catching a concert. In my time alone I like to read. I'm an avid reader. A self-help book, a science book, an auto-biography, a history book, a good novel? Yes pleas. I also enjoy taking my motorcycle out for a ride on warm days. It has a backseat but I haven't found a passenger yet.

The last book I read and enjoyed:

I love reading and am always in the process of reading a book or two. My interests in literature vary wildly but at the time of this writing the last great book I read was How To Really Stink At Work by Jeff Foxworthy. I usually like heavier reads but I laughed until I cried. Great book. I'm also slowly working my way through a book of poems by C.S. Lewis. It's been pretty good so far.

According to my friends:

My friends describe me as:

  • Good Listener
  • Easy-Going
  • Loyal
  • Intelligent

Hey there! I'm a 26yo female, so I would assume I'm in your target audience...or close anyways. You come across as someone who views relationships as important and is willing to spend quality time on them. I also get that you are humorous. Despite that, while I probably wouldn't close you right away...I also wouldn't be likely to initiate communication, either. Mostly because I've seen a few of your answers a hundred times. I know it's hard to put yourself on paper and have your personality come across (for me too), but it's worth the effort. More specific comments are below.

Right? If so, that's maybe a better way to say it. I'm not sure why, but I feel like the way you worded it is negative. She shouldn't just be able to "hold down a job" she should thrive. Make sense?)

You did a good job of giving specifics of what you appreciated about your grandfather. Juat fyi...someone pointed out to me that this profile should showcase you. So maybe say just a little less about him and a little more about how you are different because of him.)

Nit-picky, i know.)

I typically spend my leisure time: I love going out. A group of friends out at the bowling alley. Going to the lake for a campfire and maybe a round of fishing. Catching a concert.(None of these are complete sentences. It may not bother some people, but it would bother me.) In my time alone I like to read. I'm an avid reader. (These two sentences back to back seem redundant. Plus, since you're asked about reading in the next section, I would leave it out of this section completely.) A self-help book, a science book, an auto-biography, a history book, a good novel? Yes pleas (please). I also enjoy taking my motorcycle out for a ride on warm days. It has a backseat but I haven't found a passenger yet. (Great tid-bit at the end!)

I'm considering updating like so:

What is the most important quality that you are looking for in another person?

Someone with a balanced personality. Someone who is responsible. Someone who wants a family. Someone who will be who they are regardless of what others think. But someone who is fun. Someone who likes to laugh. Someone who can have a good time and be a little crazy if the situations calls for it.

Other than your appearance, what is the first thing that people notice about you?

I like to have fun. I know, weird right? A person who enjoys fun. But put me around my friends and we just have a good time. I don't care if people think we're a little strange at times. You only live once.

Is there any additional information you would like your matches to know about you?

I sometimes travel for work. So if we're communicating and I don't answer for a week it doesn't necessarily mean I'm ignoring you. It might just mean I'm out of town and can't make it to a computer.

What are you most passionate about?

I'm most passionate about the people in my life. My family and friends. Spending time with them, helping them, making them laugh, etc. Relationships are the most important thing in life and I try to never take them for granted.

How do you typically spend your leisure time?

I love going out. A group of friends out at the bowling alley. Possibly going to the lake for a campfire and maybe a round of fishing or catching a concert. I also enjoy taking my motorcycle out for a ride on warm days. It has a backseat but I haven't found a passenger yet.

Maybe this makes the joke make sense in the one thing people notice:

How rich I am. Actually, forget about other people. I would settle for myself noticing it. Like maybe next payday. Unfortunately I doubt a $250 an hour raise is realistic.
