I'm new to this, and have yet to subscribe for financial reasons, are there any free communication weekends coming up? I feel terrible not being able to respond to my matches...

Turn matching off. Even free communication weekends stop at exchanging personal contact info unless you pay....

Eh only works to message / meet people if you pay.

FCW are a come on to get you to pay ..by letting you throw a set of questions back and forth..but not message anyone..... it is not really "free".
A free site is a better option...if you can't ever pay.

There is a free communication weekend which allows you ful operation of the site and you can get to open communication.

A free communication event only allows you through the guided communication but blocks you from open communication unless you pay.

There are free sites out there you can use. I think OK Cupid is one of them.

This is a totally false statement and you have been around long enough to know that.

A Free Communication Weekend (FCW) does indeed allow you to go through Guided Communication and on into Open Communication (e-mail) where you can exchange personal communication contacts, be it phone number or personal e-mail addresses.

What you have described is the Free nonCommunication Event (FnCE).

FCWs used to occur regularly. However, in 2010 eHarmony went to the Free nonCommunication Event format which is worthless and has since only had a couple of FCWs that occur sporadically.

If there is going to be a FCW I would look for it around Valentine's Day. However, I have not seen any ads for a FCW so I doubt that it would be this weekend. They usually happen on holiday weekends so the next likely suspect would be Memorial Day weekend

The Free Communication weekends/events tend to around holiday weekends and a few other times during the year.

Historically they have happen the weekend after Christmas, the weekend before Valentines Day, Memorial Day weekend, Labor Day weekend, then a scattering of other ones so they are spaced out like onc every other month.

It depends on which one they do.


Also---as a free member you cant see pictures of others.
