Just wondering if its possible.... after reading "He Archived Me!" it got me thinking about who I should or shouldn't archive.

Can you still receive a message (GC or OC) from a match you archived?

Yes, you can still receive messages from an archived match. The archive option is actually the first step to a close. Your match CAN NOT tell if you have archived them.
