Your experience is sounding a lot my own. I was on eHarmony from January 2008 till February 2011 and got lots of matches, many would communicate, and got dates. And my matches fell within the preferences that I had in my Settings. Since rejoining in November of 2011 I have gotten very few matches, have only had two communicate one quit halfway through GC the other raised incompatibilities during OC so I have not gotten any dates. Very disappointing.

It's the same questionnaire.......Some customer service reps have resorted to suggesting retaking it when members complain of not getting enough matches.
So the misinformed rumor is that someone is confusing "retaking it" with some secret new questionnaire.
