I was in OC with a guy for a while and the last email he sent seemed really excited and he asked me to please email him back. I did and when I went to check to see if he had emailed me back it said match closed. I checked his profile and is said that he had closed me maybe 20 minutes after I sent an email and that I had closed HIM an hour later. I DID NO SUCH THING! Is it possible that there was some accident or computer misfire somewhere? And who knows, he may have closed me but I know I didn't close him. Has this happened before?
There are a plethora of threads that read exactly like yours does. It seems that the latest bug in the eHarmony system is to close matches automatically. There seems to be very little desire on the part of eHarmony to either admit that they have a problem or fix it. By all indications it would appear that the top goal of eHarmony management is to put themselves out of business.

Iencountered a similar glitch yesterday. I received a new match, and viewed herprofile. I checked back a few hours later, and her profile had moved to theClosed Matches tab. I thought it was a little strange, because she never showedup in my Who’s Viewed Me grid. (But I think there are a few ways to view andnot trigger that.) When I opened her profile to accept the Close, I was surprisedto read: “Match is closed. You closed this match on.” Additionally, the brightorange Close Match button was displayed. There was no mention that she actuallyclosed the match.

Isent a request to Customer Care yesterday evening. It stated that an agentwould respond to my inquiry within 24 hours. Still waiting to hear something.Guess I might try to call them tomorrow.

Don't send e-mails to Customer Care. If you really want someone to do something meaningful, you'd be better off calling as your first move.

I sent customer service an email, they replied within two days and basically sent him an email asking to reconsider for me. Now, we wait haha
