Constructive criticism is healthy right? lol! I've only been on the site for a few weeks and overall I can't complain about my matches and communication - but I would like to improve my profile if/where I can.

I had some friends look it over and help tone it down a bit because I wrote *a lot* in the first draft.

The one thing I am most passionate about:
Family and friends are on the top of my list. I grew up in a Catholic family so I'm anchored by morals and tradition, and I'm not one of those judgy-types that will try to convert you or damn you to hell lol! I try to to enjoy the little moments and not take life so seriously. I'm confident in who I am and consider myself ambitious, I would go that extra mile instead of having regrets. I'm family-oriented and generous with my time, and very compassionate, honest and respectful to those who are important in my life. I'm a "glass is half full" type, so if you're more of a pessimistic, you might find that annoying lol!

The most important thing I am looking for in a person is:
Trust.... I have to trust the person I'm giving my best to, and I need to have his trust too. It makes everything else work.

About Me

Basic Information
Occupation: Real Estate
Age 29
Height 5' 5"
Wants Kids: Yes
Kids at Home: No
Ethnicity Hispanic or Latino
Religion: Christian
Drinks: About once a week
Smokes: Never

In my own words

The most influential person in my life has been:
My grandmother, she helped raise me and I constantly hear her "teachings" come out of my mouth.... its like she brainwashed me lol! Honestly though, most of what I remember are true words of wisdom.

The three things which I am most thankful for:
Family
Health
Friends

Three of my best life-skills are:
Using humor to make friends laugh
Volunteering my time to causes I care about
Finding pleasure and contentment in simple things

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me:
That I'm NOT lazy or unhealthy just because I'm not your "average" size girl. I'm full-figured, voluptuous, and I like being curvy! I eat healthy and keep active, I love my body and take very good care of it. Also, I'm not high maintenance. I am a girly girl and take care of my appearance, but I can rock a t-shirt and pair of sweatpants too.

The things I can't live without are:
My family, we're close - they're the best.
I have a tight-nit group of friends who I love!
I love to read, so definitely my NOOK!
Coffee... coffee... and coffee.
God, we all need someone to believe in.

The first thing people notice about me:
That I smell good lol! Honestly, I get that "what perfume are you wearing" question a lot.... I'm a girl, I like my perfume bottles, my nail polish bottles and my scented candles, what can I say?

Some additional information I want you to know:
Short but sweet: I love dark chocolate! I cried during the second season finale of "Boardwalk Empire". I don't like being cold but I love snow. I love Starbucks coffee, but not their regular coffee... just the lattes. I like when my nail polish matches my toe polish but I don't lose my mind if they don't. I cant eat cold pizza... and I don't care if that makes me less of a NY'er lol! I find it perfectly normal to let the person behind you on line cut in front if they have way less items than you do. I love the smell of rain and I think thunder storms are way cool. I miss the tv show Friends and wish they'd make a movie already.

My interests

I typically spend my leisure time:
I love to read! I have a NOOK and it's in my purse most of the time. I love movies, honestly you can get me to watch anything if you ask nice enough lol! My faves vary from classics like The Godfather, to sci-fi like Star Wars, and chick-flixs like When Harry Met Sally. I love going out and just having fun, anything from an afternoon BBQ to a night down in the city. I'm always up for trying new things, concerts, movies, etc. I also love to travel, I've been to Japan, Spain, Honduras, and Hawaii. I'd love to visit Spain again and definitely want to see more of Europe!

The last book I read and enjoyed:
I'm currently reading "The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society" .... so far so good! I read anything from modern fiction to classic literature like Jane Austen. Have any recommendations for me?
According to my friends:

My friends describe me as:
Happy
Modest
Sweet
Outgoing

Hi V!

I really think the section "some additional information" is important. There are no guidelines on what you have to put in it, so it says alot (more than the rest of the basic profile) about the person who wrote it. I think you did an awesome job making that section unique.

As a guy, the one general thing I would have to say about all the profiles of the eHarmony ladies I have seen is there needs to be more mention of food! Hey I love running and being active too, I did a marathon last summer, I hike alot. Staying fit is a secondary benefit, I like to be active because I get to be outside and I am always very hungry afterwards. Coffee and chocolate are good, but maybe there is a dish that you love to eat and there is a man out there who loves to cook, challenge him to see what he can do!

On a more specific note the book section, I have no clue what "The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society" is about. Sometimes I will Google things but maybe add two sentences, one on what the book is about, another on how you feel about the subject matter.

this passage should go under additional info about you....passionate about is why you chose your career, is there a hobby or interest you love and would never give up, is their a cause you fight for or volunteer for. what make you get up in the morning?

you mention before about volunteering...tell a story about it here.

The most important thing I am looking for in a person is:
Trust.... I have to trust the person I'm giving my best to, and I need to have his trust too. It makes everything else work.
honesty and trust...if I had a dollar for all the times i saw that....

who doesnt want someone they trust. What really drives you that you are attracted to in a relationship?

What pics do you have in your profile? You talk about your weight and if you dont have a picture that accurately shows your figure you are going to be in trouble when it comes to meeting face to face.

thanks! I think my profile mentions food under the "something to talk about" section but I'll add somewhere my undying love for sushi lol!

I'll definite add something more about the book too.... good idea!

I volunteer at my parish's Youth Group... which influenced my choice in career, I'm a student at Fordham finishing up my degree in Education, I want to be a high school teacher..... I kinda left all that out of my profile, I'll have to edit all that in. Thanks!

I didn't read the question as "what are you attracted to" lol! When I meet someone, I need to feel like... Yes, I can trust this guy. Not that after meeting I will trust him 110%, but that he seems trustworthy.

But I understand what you're saying... I'll have to add confidence in then. That definitely drives my attraction to someone. Or is confidence a cliche answer too? lol!

I'm really not high maintenance, at least no one I know thinks so. And YES I do have pics, 7 pics, full body pics, nothing older than a year, casual pics, dressy pics.... I covered all bases there lol!
