Can matches see if you have archived them? Or is that when they contact you to communicate eharmony send you the MATCH REQUESTS COMMUNICATION because you archived them? Thanks in advance for your help.

No, they cannot see that you Archived them.

Because of this, the proper etiquette for Matches that you have absolutely no interest in, is to Archive them and then Close them, so that they know not to bother sending you a request for Communication.

Like Scott said, they cannot see that you've archived them. However, they will see that you viewed their profile (you cannot archive them without doing so), so that may prompt them to view your profile in return and they may initiate communication. As was mentioned, if you're not interested in the match, close them all together.

You will get at "Match Requests Communication" from eHarmony any time a match requests communication, whether they're in your new folder or your archived folder.

There is no difference between leaving a match in your New folder or putting them in your Archive folder.

They cannot tell that you have archived them but they can still send you a communication. Archiving is not the same as closing. If you are certain that you have no interest in a new match then you have to go through the two step process as ScottK said. Click on the Archive button on their profile, then go to your Archive folder, open the profile again and then click on the Close button at the bottom of the profile.
