I have 380 matches, how do I delete them so I do not see them any more?

Are you a non paying member? If so there is a trick Customer Service can use to close them all at once.

Can I ask why you are wanting to close all of your matches? Are you not contacting anyone? Are you quitting eH? If you are only temporarily pausing your search, please be sure to turn off your matching so you aren't matched with anyone else. You can do this by clicking on the My Settings button at the top right hand side of your main eH page. The option to stop and start matching should be on that first tab.

Why does one have to contact customer service to get a bunch closed at once...What is the " trick"?..Why don't they have a feature such as on an email folder where multiple entries can be deleted at once..or "empty folder"?

To answer your question in reverse order:
The "trick" is that if you have your account deleted that process also automatically closes ALL of your matches. However, you can have your account deleted and then have it restored a couple of days later. All your matches will be gone but your profile will be restored intact.

To have your account deleted you have to contact Customer Care. And you have to contact Customer Care to restore your account.

I guess that eHarmony does not want you to be too hasty in closing matches and therefore make it difficult to close a match.

Why do you have no desire to contact or be contacted by any of your matches?

On eHarmony you will only be matched with any one person once. Once you have closed a match they are pretty much gone forever.

Did you close or just move your matches to the Archive folder. If you have only archived them then they are not closed and can still contact you at any time.

Gr8 explained the trick fairly well. I know of no other way to close mass amounts of matched while a paying member, unfortunately. I wish for a page with toggle boxes down the list and a close matches button somewhere on the page. But, it won't happen any time soon I think.

I do think making someone view a match before they can close is a good idea. Just in the huge scheme of things anyway.
