Just signed up and not really sure how this reads to matches. I wanted to give info as well as let my personality show through....

Other than your parents, who has been the most influential person in your life and why?
I think I have learned from many people in my life, but the person that has most influenced me would be my daughter. I have learned to slow down and appreciate life aside from my career or success. I watch her get excited about learning things that I have taken for granted as an adult and it rekindles my curiosity. She reminds me to keep dreaming and how important it is to giggle at the end of the day!

What is the most important quality that you are looking for in another person?
I am looking for someone who is responsible but isn't afraid to try new things, someone who can admit when he's wrong and be understanding when I realize I'm not perfect.

Other than your appearance, what is the first thing that people notice about you?
I'm very inquisitive, when something sparks my interest I want all the details.

What is the ONE thing that people DON'T notice about you right away that you WISH they WOULD?
I think my serious side seems to shine through in the beginning. I tend to sit back and analyze a situation before I am comfortable opening up. I am very social and enjoy getting to know people, but that is not always my first impression.

What are five things that you "can't live without?"
That first cup of coffee in the morning.
Friends that can give me a swift kick if needed.
Laughter, and it doesn't have to be my own.
My computer because I am a bit of a geek.
My curiosity because it keeps me young.

Describe the last book that you read and enjoyed. What was it about? What did you like most about it?
My library has a range of books which include Sci Fi, Mystery, and some non-fiction which either opened my eyes to social awareness topics or caused me to be inspired by someones life. Most of my recent texts have been related to programming or
business skills so send me an email if you really want to hear about Gameology or how to play to your strengths.

Is there any additional information you would like your matches to know about you?
That this Personality Profile took me a lot longer than I expected!!

I thought this was good. I might change one sentence to say - I have learned how to slow down and appreciate life outside of my career.

This may read as you being somewhat nosy, I'm sure you didn't mean it that way. You might want to revise the ending to say - I want to learn more about it.

Everyone says the first one and you've already kind of said the last one. See if you can be more creative.

The question asks about a book you enjoyed, not what was recently added to your library. Pick on and say what you thought about it. I loved The Help and thought the movie was a true depiction of the book.

This is the section where you can add interesting parts of your life like I also speak Russian or I have a Burmese mountain dog..add something interesting.

See comments in blue above. Hope this helps.

Hi. Your profile isn't bad...I get a little sense of you (mostly from your fun 5 things - ) but it is very VAGUE.

I would encourage you to post the whole thing (passionate about, smoking/drinking, etc).

Lifestyle compatibility is huge. Use as many specifics as possible (type of music, type of food...ie are you red wine and opera???? Are you bbq and Garth???? Are you Madonna and sushi???)...in TV commercial terms are you a pc or a mac...the reader can't tell.

On your daughter, we generally suggest limiting to one reference (because a guy wants to date you, not a mommy) (can't tell if you mentioned her in parts not included or not)...AND give an idea on her age....so a guy knows if you are in the same "stage" prom or diapers or if he'd be willing to bide his time (if your kids are almost out of the house)....

Your location, smoking/drinking, ages you are seeking and pictures are going to be critical at your (and MY) age.

Best-K

I like your idea of adding more specific lifestyle information. You're right on my daughter's age as well, I find myself looking for that info with my matches.

Thanks so much for the advice!

I am a guy in your target age range...

What you are saying is you are always right? Do you acknowledge your imperfections?

Other than your appearance, what is the first thing that people notice about you?

I would like to se more details in some of your passages.

You being quiet an inquisitive at the start comes off as very opposite things to me. Thus your inquisitiveness may come off as something else.

My comments are in blue above....under additional info you need to tell more about you and what your interests are. I would like to have an idea of a date with you would be like what?

Are you initiating communication? what are your matching settings in terms of age range and distance?
