I was hoping you could look at my answers, and give me advice about how to improve my profile. Thanks!

The one thing I am most passionate about is:
I have a large passion for children's literature. As a teacher, I am constantly looking for new children's books that are fun and exciting to read. Also, I love my job, where I am able to have an influence on my students' lives. I love it when a child learns something new, and it's like their brain goes "click," new information, and the child gets so excited about learning.

The most important thing I am looking for in a person is: I am looking for someone who will respect who I am and my values. But I also want a man who treats others with respect, and sees those around them as equals.

The most influential person in my life has been:

My sister has been a big influence in my life. She doesn't realize it, but she has shown me how to be strong in a tough situation. She has also shown me what it means to be a great listener, and a better friend.
The three things which I am most thankful for:

  • I am thankful for my family. They have been supportive and encouraging to me throughout the years.
  • I am also thankful for my education. I love learning and finding new ways to improve myself, so that I can work harder to make a difference in other people's lives.
  • Finally, I am thankful for my values. I have strong values in life that have helped lead me in making the right and positive decisions in my life.

Three of my best life-skills are:

  • Sharing my beliefs through teaching, participation, and example
  • Maintaining a network of close friends
  • Cooking for my family and friends

The things I can't live without are:

  • My faith, which helps to keep me strong
  • My family, who is there to support me
  • Friends, who I have shared many goofy times with
  • My cell phone, with all the games that I love
  • My ipod, with my favorite playlists

The first thing people notice about me:

People notice that I am very optimistic, and have a positive outlook on life. Whenever my friends see something that is bright colored, they think of me, because I have a bright outlook on life. Even if something is going wrong, I am good at turning it around, and looking at the positive side of things.

I was hoping you could look at my answers, and give me advice about how to improve my profile. Thanks!

The one thing I am most passionate about is:
I have a huge passion for children's literature. As a teacher, I am constantly looking for new children's books that are fun and exciting to read. Also, I love my job, where I am able to have an influence on my students' lives. I love it when a child learns something new, and it's like their brain goes "click," new information, and the child gets so excited about learning.
This is not too bad but to make it better I would suggest that you re-write it a bit so that you better blend your job with your passion for children's literature (the way it is written now you have two passions). I would also maybe make mention what grade you teach.

The most important thing I am looking for in a person is:
I am looking for someone who will respect who I am and my values. But I also want a man who treats others with respect, and sees those around them as equals.
I would suggest a bit of a re-write here as well. The way you have it now you have two things you are looking for, but really the last sentence is part of your values. Leave the first sentence and then build on that by defining what some of your values are and how your match will exhibit these values.

The most influential person in my life has been:
My sister has been a big influence in my life. She doesn't realize it, but she has shown me how to be strong in tough situations. She has also shown me what it means to be a great listener, and a better friend.
This is good.

This is the second time you have mentioned family.

You said the same thing three times and there are only three sentences
Comments above in red.

Stuff in BOLD purple are corrections.

You have a good start to your profile. But there are several sections missing.

I agree. I would repost with the missing sections. Right now I get a pretty good impression of you, but am missing hobbies and interests.

Renewed profile...and I included the rest of my profile this time:
The one thing I am most passionate about is:
As an elementary teacher, I have a huge passion for children’s literature. I feel as if I am constantly on the lookout for new children’s books that are fun and exciting. Children’s books really help students learn and connect them to new experiences that they may never have the chance to have. I love it when a child learns something new, and it's like their brain goes "click," new information, and the child gets so excited about learning. That is what makes teaching totally worthwhile.

The most important thing I am looking for in a person is:
I am looking for someone who will respect who I am and my values. I believe that no one is superior to someone else for any reason, and that we need to all respect one another.

The most influential person in my life has been:
My sister has been a big influence in my life. She doesn't realize it, but she has shown me how to be strong in tough situations. She has also shown me what it means to be a great listener, and a better friend.

  • Cooking for my family and friends

The things I can't live without are:
  • My faith, which helps to keep me strong
  • Friends, who I have shared many goofy times with
  • Zumba, it’s taught me to loosen up
  • My cell phone, with all the games that I love
  • My ipod, with my favorite playlists
The first thing people notice about me:
People notice that I am very optimistic, and have a positive outlook on life. Whenever my friends see something that is bright colored, they think of me, because I have a bright outlook on life.
My interests
I typically spend my leisure time:
When I have free time, I enjoy looking up new recipes, and experimenting in the kitchen. I am not always the best cook, but I enjoy learning new recipes, and how to make something even better. I love being outdoors with my friends, whether it’s a picnic, a walk in the park, taking pictures, or hiking up in the mountains, being outdoors helps me feel fresh.
The last book I read and enjoyed:
I really enjoyed the young adult novel, 13 Reasons. It was aimed for teenagers, but I think everyone can relate to the story. I liked how it showed that our actions and how we act towards others does have an impact on their lives.

My friends describe me as:
  • Creative
  • Optimistic
  • Spiritual
  • Sweet

You updated profile is very good.

At your age its going to be difficult.

You need to have good pictures. IMHO...I think you are too young for eharmony and better suited for something like MAtch which is a casual dating site. At your age men arent looking to get into a serious relationship and get married. That starts in their late 20s to mid 30s.

It is incorrect... see for yourself the largest growing segment is the 20-30 group...On any dating site it starts at 18 and goes up from there, the largest groups being your target range.

Quite true. The data show that she will do better than a similar 30 or 40-year old woman.
