After taking some time to work on the profile, I'd like to upload it again to see the feedback on the changes.

Other than your parents, who has been the most influential person in your life and why?

I think everyone played a part in forming who I am as an individual.

I would suppose that my Uncle would have had the biggest impact. Whenever he was in town we would always take hikes up the mountain or go jogging. He inspired me to live healthy and also introduced me to my career path.

What is the most important quality that you are looking for in another person?

I'm looking for someone who desires to spend time together having whatever we find fun. I want to build and improve on our relationship through communication, affection, and shared activities.

Other than your appearance, what is the first thing that people notice about you?

I have a solid sense of humor. I can find the fun in nearly anything no matter the situation. I'd rather enjoy the ride and die laughing.This is good. Short. Sweet. Simple

People are really surprised when I take charge of a situation. I may have a flippant and carefree attitude to a lot of my life, but when the chips are down I know who I would bet on.

What are five things that you "can't live without?"

Having and giving affection is important to me.
Martial Arts. It's a great way to relax.
If it's not burnt over a fire it's not real food!
Rainy days, lakes, forests, mountains!

(for reference alberta is relatively flat without a lot of good water features. plus I really ran hard against that 50 character limit)I hear that. I think this is a great place to demonstrate your sense of humor, and you did a good job of it.

Describe the last book that you read and enjoyed. What was it about? What did you like most about it?

Wish I read more, but I don't. Last thing I've read are first aid manuals and my career book for being an officer. Not exactly exciting literature.
-----Since I don't really have anything of value here, I'll gripe a little for fun. What, exactly, does eHarmony have against paragraphs?

I wonder this, myself. Blocks of text don’t leave much for the imagination. Instead of stating that you don’t read, maybe you could list a book that you want to read, or are looking forward to reading.

Is there any additional information you would like your matches to know about you?

I equally love movies from horror to romance to cartoons. It's really hard to be specific on favorites, though my favorite actor would have to be Jim Carrey. Live shows definitely take the cake for me. I love a good event like comedy clubs, stand up, concerts, and hockey games.

I'm caring and compassionate, willing to go well out of my way for people I care about. I like to touch and hold hands in public and cuddle together during a cold night. I'm a very warm person.
(I added the favorite actor but, i'm a little leery of specifying movies when the "something to talk about" seems to do that already)

I hear what you’re saying. I just don’t think the words are expressing what you’re going for. What I hear is, you like to share those moments when there is a little tension in the air and that feeling of being close to someone. What I read is,” I like PDA and being intimate.” These type of romantic comments are always a little hard to phrase and may eat up your character count. Putting the idea out there is spot on, though.

What are you most passionate about?

Martial arts is definitely a big outlet for me. Currently it's Taekwondo, though I have been in many others. I see it as a great combination of art and exercise. It takes a lot of focus and commitment to excel in it. I always feel refreshed after it, never burned out.

Scenery. Lakes, mountains, forests, rivers, beaches, etc.
Thunder/Lightning storms. Always a great show!
We live in a country of plenty! I can hunt, fish, and enjoy!

How do you typically spend your leisure time?

I like to try and be active during my leisure time. Going out hiking some of Edmonton's city trails, taking a drive around town a little, going to some of my favorite stores, practicing martial arts, relaxing with a good show at home or the theatre, and going to live shows.

Fishing, when I can return to BC to visit, is a favorite way to spend the day sleeping or chatting while still accomplishing something! I maintain my fishing license in BC year round! Same with boating and swimming. BC really has the best lakes and rivers ever!
