Hello! I've finally decided to give eHarmony a try after using Match and other free sites in the past year with not much success. Maybe it is my age? I have only attempted to contact women in the ages from 22-27.

I think I've emailed over 50+ women and only garnered a couple (literally a couple lol) of responses and one of them turned into lengthy email exchanges until I decided to ask her out, which by then she said she met someone. Tough luck..

I'll admit I am probably not the best looking guy (if at all. I have been called ugly back in HS), maybe my pictures aren't too flattering? The profile has been pretty much the same within the past year, with some tweaks here and there, so I figure the bad turnout must be the profile, and/or what I say in my emails. I try to project a humorous/witty personality in my emails. Any help/feedback would be appreciated.

Occupation:
Accounting Finance Computers Analyst Training Coordinator Bank Money
Age: 25
Height: 5'8"
Wants Kids: Yes
Kids at Home: No
Ethnicity: Chinese
Religion: Neither religious nor spiritual
Drinks: About once a week
Smokes: Never

The one thing I am most passionate about:

I am somewhat of an adrenaline junkie if it doesn't involve high heights! I love to travel and adventures. Roadtrips, resorts, backpacking, hiking anything... As St. Augustine once quoted: “The World is a book, and those who do not travel read only a page.” Hoping to go to South America/Africa for my next trip.

I love to travel and adventures. Roadtrips, resorts, backpacking, hiking anything... As St. Augustine once quoted: “The World is a book, and those who do not travel read only a page.” Hoping to go to South America/Africa for my next trip, but that may be a while away. For now planning on going white water rafting/camping in the springtime and some snowboarding when the snow decides to fall.

The most important thing I am looking for in a person is:
Looking for a fun loving girl that is open to new adventures, but also someone that wouldn't mind a night in at home watching a movie...

The most influential person in my life has been:
A friend who inspired me to go fulfill your dreams and do the things you always wanted to do and not to wait around for others..

A friend whose initials are LT, inspired me to go fulfill my dreams and do the things I've always wanted to do instead of just waiting around for things to happen.

The three things which I am most thankful for:
- I love my family and friends. We have had our differences but we have always been supportive of each other.
- Having a warm bed to sleep in at night and a roof over my head.
- My dog and cat who are always there to welcome me home at the end of the day.

Three of my best life-skills are:
- Finding pleasure and contentment in simple things
- Maintaining a network of close friends
- Finding new adventures and unique experiences

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me:
When people first meet me, I may come off as rude, cocky, reserved etc.. as I don't talk much. The fact is I am a big goof ball, love to joke around about anything and I find humour in the smallest/least expecting things.

I care deeply about the environment, as I try to recycle, reuse etc... whenever I can. Which is kind of a catch 22 with me as I love auto racing and pigging out...

The things I can't live without are:
- Blackberry
- Car
- Friends
- Sushi
- Family

- Raw fish (Sushi)
- Dog licking my face in morning
- Boiling hot showers
- Sweat pants
- Discovery Channel

The first thing people notice about me:
I'm pretty shy and reserved at first, but I'll quickly open up once we get going. Pretty open minded and easy going, its very hard to get me mad at something/anything.

You can always catch me playing with my hair, especially facial hair (or lack of it being Asian, failed at trying to grow one for Movember lol). I love to run my hand through my chin and upper lip area when I have a little stubble.

I typically spend my leisure time:
I love to explore the city when the weather is nice, take my dog out to parks, spending leisure time with friends and family through recreational sports or just hanging out on the patio sipping on some latte.

I love to explore the city when the weather is nice, take my 2 year old westie out to parks, spending leisure time with friends and family through recreational sports, mostly volleyball (beach included in the summer, and yes sometimes I do take my shirt off lol), and tennis, or just hanging out on the patio sipping on some latte.

The last book I read and enjoyed:
"In Defense of Food". Totally opened up my mind on the food we eat and how it is made. Very interesting read. Just finished reading "Why you world is about to get a whole lot smaller". I guess I like to be on top on current events?

My friends describe me as:
- Funny
- Ambitious
- Loyal
- Spontaneous

I am somewhat of an adrenaline junkie if it doesn't involve high heights! This doesn't quite make sense - you won't get on the plane or you won't jump out of one? Probably easier to delete that part than explain. I love to travel and adventures. Roadtrips, resorts, backpacking, hiking anything... The fact is I am a big goof ball, love to joke around about anything and I find humour in the smallest/least expecting things. Never use words like rude, cocky, reserved in your profile because regardless of what else you say, that's what will stick out to them. Also, if you laugh easily, people will notice it immediately. I'd delete this whole paragraph and start over. It doesn't have to be completely serious. Can be humorous, can be just some little quirk you have, etc.

The things I can't live without are:
- Blackberry
- Car
- Friends
- Sushi
- Family

The first thing people notice about me:
I'm pretty shy and reserved at first, but I'll quickly open up once we get going. Pretty open minded and easy going, its very hard to get me mad at something/anything. Again with the shy and reserved. All you are telling your match is that you are unapproachable, hard to get to know, and going on a date with you will be a boring nightmare where she has to carry the whole conversation. Focus on what's positive about you.

I typically spend my leisure time:
I love to explore the city when the weather is nice, take my dog out to parks, spending leisure time with friends and family through recreational sports or just hanging out on the patio sipping on some latte.

My comments/edits above. Be sure you proof read carefully to make sure that what you've written makes sense and to catch any typos. A profile is a bit like a resume in that typos will cost you.

From what I've heard from various men, contacting 50 girls is nothing. It's basically a numbers game. You have to keep going until you find those who will respond. Also, the key to success is don't waste your time on long e-mail exchanges. Exchange a couple of polite e-mails and suggest meeting.

When people first meet me, I may come off as rude, cocky, reserved etc.. as I don't talk much. This actually made me groan aloud! The fact is I am a big goof ball, love to joke around about anything and I find humour in the smallest/least expecting things.

The things I can't live without are:

At least two of these you have already mentioned and two are boring...use your space better instead of hammering on the same thing over and over. IOW the only good one is SUSHI. Give more SPECIFICS, SENSES (And maybe humor)....hot bubble baths, the smell of Oregon rain, Sirrichi sauce, sleeping til 10 on Sunday, Man versus Food, worn levi's, REI, puppy breath....
see how these give a different feel?

The first thing people notice about me:
I'm pretty shy and reserved at first, but I'll quickly open up once we get going. (EVERYONE says this) Pretty open minded and easy going, its very hard to get me mad at something/anything.

Great answer.

Overall, not bad! Lifestyle compatibility is huge so include as many specifics as you can.

Would you be open to raising range to 30....might help because you sound pretty solid and mature.

Best! K

Thank you two for the tips!! I thought my profile would have gotten flamed at, but I guess it was decent! .

@KikiAZ Thanks for the compliment. I wouldn't mind raising my range up to age 30, but the thought of dating a woman that is significantly more financially stable (I assume they would be?) than I am just gives me butterflies. I am already behind in that sense with my fellow classmates/friends.

Also, I've made some changes in red font.
