Hi -

I am still new to EH and wondering how the notification works when someone changes their profile. Occasionally I see "so-and-so changed his profile" on my home page. Who sees the changes when I edit my profile? How does EH decide what to put in the little text message it displays? It looks like I can see additions or deletions to the text.

Thanks!

All of your matches will get an update anytime you change your profile, except those that are closed.

Thanks - I've looked on this site and the EH site for information about how stuff like that works on the site, but I haven't found it. Is there such a spot?

I just figured out how to find my old posts on here (in my profile). Is there a trick to do a search on here?

You can do a search of this site for topics.......the search button is located under the heading at the top of every page.

As far as a search on eHarmony....if I remember correctly they have a "help" topic that you can do a search with at the very bottom of their main page, you really have to look for it though.

Actually you will see when a closed match makes a change to their profile. Why, I don't know, but that is the way it works.

As upstategirl said there is the Help at the bottom of the eHarmony pages. But asking questions here will likely give you more detail on how a lot of things work than the help.

There is also the search function here in Advice but it still does not work very well.

Actually, upstate girl is right. If a match is closed, you are not notified of anything they do, with the exception of the person viewing you. For some bizarre reason, when they view you, you are still notified.

Agree... too many bizarre glitches. There should be a way to permanently delete profiles, not just accumulate in the closed folder.
