A couple points: I wonder if you are in a major metro area or not...and if all your other categories are in and of themselves likely to reduce availability (age of guys you want to date, religion, smoking etc).

Best of luck to you. K

Why not test the waters of eHarmony by creating your profile truthfully and turning on matching to see if you are getting any matches and if they would be compatible to you in height. If you are getting matches who seem compatible to you in height and other areas then you can decide if you want to spend your money. Also search around for a discount.

It seems that EH has just gotten rid of the height preference slider, so this might be a good chance to try again.

Kind of interesting since you hear so much kvetching about how most women only want taller matches, but very little acknowlegment that most men want shorter matches.

I'm not sure how much of an impediment your height will be, but I am afraid your age will be a barrier. I had an active profile for a short time. I didn't renew. I did get matches, but nothing came of it. Not one man in my entire state either initiated with me or responded to my initiation. Although I can't know for sure, I am reasonably confident that my age (59) was the issue.

... It turned out the reason they claimed not to send me any matches was because I am too tall. Yes, I am abnormally tall for a female, six feet and one half inch to be exact, but there really isn't a damn thing I can do about that. They even went so far as to say that only 3% of the men on the planet would be interested in dating a woman who wasn't at least half an inch shorter than they are. ...
Interesting, as I mentioned at another thread no women 5'10"+ ever contacted me back on eH even though I am 6' tall. I get plenty of responses so that was the only thing different.

So, it might also work both ways where tall women want their guys to be several inches taller than themselves regardless of their own height.

I'm 6'4" so there are some taller guys on here! And yes, I have heard from 5'8"+ women that it's hard to find a guy on here.. but add a grain of salt since most of them would be unlikely to date a guy who wasn't at least 2" taller than themselves.

Generally, ladies worry more about their partner's height, guys worry more about their partner's weight.

Your predicament is easy to resolve! Create a profile and see if you get matches. If and only if you get matches, subscribe.
