Not looking for advice; I've only been on EH a week. I just had the most bizarro world EH experience an hour ago. At 4:27 p.m., I received an email that one of my matches from this morning had sent five questions. I quickly logged in to see who it was and read the questions, and then logged out and finished up some pending work.

I logged in again shortly after 5:00 p.m. to respond, and noticed that this match had moved to Archive. I checked the Mailbox tab on his profile, and sure enough: a whole 22 MINUTES after I received his email (which was presumably only a minute or two after he sent it), he closed the communication.

Really, EH? This is who I'm compatible with? At least I have a good online dating story now.

Carry on.

lol....either he sent question to you in error and realized it and closed you out OR you just dodged the bullet of a very jaded insecure creature who saw you look, not answer and leaped to the conclusion that you are not interested and essentially closed you before you could reject him by closing him. Better get your seat belt on and strap in tight - you'll get a lot of crazy matches and see a lot of crazy behaviors. Despite all the advertising, EH is just another run of the mill dating site that is only as good as the people using it.

Sure, hit me.

Yeah, I actually thought it was more funny than anything else. I am sure it won't be the last of its kind, and I'm not what you might call heartbroken over it.

I sense your heartbreak over this.

I'd recommend getting a big Turkey, plucking all the feathers off of it, cooking the sucker, and feasting on it.

Cranberry sauce would be good with that turkey.

Had a match do the same thing. Then a week later he reopened, and then closed again. No idea what he was thinking.

This was my first impression from the OP.

Well, in that case I appreciate the guy self-filtering so I didn't have to do it myself.

Yours is not the first post that I have seen recently of "bizarre" behavior by matches. While I can understand that it takes all kinds and that on occasion you would encounter someone who was totally clueless and would do this. But given the frequency I am wondering if this is yet another bug in eHarmony
