I am open to any critique or constructive criticism. Thank-you in advance for reading my profile.

The one thing I am most passionate about:

I am passionate about learning how the world works, how it has existed through history, and how us humans influence these things. I have now attended two post secondary educational institutes where I have studied everything from basic climatology, ancient history to modern day current events. I have also taken some English and philosophy as well. These days im attending school to become a Geographic Information System Specialist, which in short form is the creation of detailed maps of the earth by comput…

The most important thing I am looking for in a person is:

I am looking for someone who is a genuinely nice person, someone who shares my general outlook on life which is always positive and inquisitive. Someone that I can develop not only a strong friendship with but a healthy relationship as well.

The most influential person in my life has been:

My late best friend, whom taught me the meaning of living everyday to the fullest. He helped strengthen my values as a person such by pushing me out of my comfort zone at parties, school, and in life in general because I often used to be very shy. Aaron is someone whom I will never forget as we were best friends for 16 years, RIP.
The three things which I am most thankful for:

Wonderful Parents, for their love and support, and good life advice.
Athletic ability, I trained with the amature division of the Vancouver White Caps Soccer Association for two years.
Compassion people have shown me over the years to push me forward to do hard things in life, such as being truthful even when it is not the "easy route".

Three of my best life-skills are:

Resolving conflict
Being a good friend and companion
Cooking for my family and friends

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me:

I wish people would see that I'm not always "Mr. Serious". I love having a good time with friends and people I feel comfortable around, which can be very different from the first impression many people will first have of me.
The things I can't live without are:

Google
Good food to cook in the fridge
Netflix
Accsess to outdoor escapes
Pets, especially dogs.

The first thing people notice about me:

People tend to notice at how easily I am to have a conversation with, regardless of the topic. People also tend to notice that I listen extremely well.
Some additional information I want you to know:

I love to be active. My newest hobby is the sport of paintball. It combines my love of sport, the outdoors, and gives it is a huge adrenaline rush!
My interests
I typically spend my leisure time:

I tend to read or play video games when I have time. I also go to the pool and swim a couple of times a week. I also like going outside and being active when the weather permits. If i can get some people together to kick a ball around or even go for a hike i really enjoy that. Im also a HUGE Vancouver Canucks fan, and I watch as many of their games as I can!
The last book I read and enjoyed:

Chain of Dogs by Steven Erikson, one of the books from "A Malazan Book of the Fallen" series. Very interesting fantasy about magic and man, good and evil, it works your brain in different and interesting ways. Very well written, I recommend it to everybody.
According to my friends:
My friends describe me as:

Good Listener
Rational
Loyal
Sweet

Hi chbroom!

You forgot to include the two most important sections--"the one thing I am most passionate about" and "the most important thing I am looking for in a person."

In general, you are off to a good start. You have a number of grammatical errors that I found quite distracting. Please fix these. I would also add a lot more detail to give your profile more color, allow readers to connect with you, and attract the right matches for you. See below for specific comments and suggestions.

Best of luck in your search!

The three things which I am most thankful for:

  • Wonderful Parents Besides giving birth to you and raising you, what makes them wonderful?
  • Athletic ability.Provide examples of sports you play and enjoy
  • Compassion people have shown me over the years to push me forward to do hard things in life Such as???

Three of my best life-skills are:

The things I can't live without are:

  • Computer
  • TV
  • Sports
  • Friends
  • Pets
Except for pets, this list is very typical of a guy your age. It tells me almost nothing about you. What are five things that you really value that might be different. Tell me about you!

The first thing people notice about me:

People tend to notice at how easily I am to have a conversation with, regardless of the topic. People also tend to notice that I listen extremely well.

Thank-you Emma_hazards for taking the time to go over my profile. I missed pasting in the missing components the last time but they should be included now. I have also taken many of your critiques to heart, and I'll continue to clear up my english here. My updated profile is now at the top of the page.

Apart from a couple little typos (e.g. im instead of I'm) that is quite the profile.

Emma has some good suggestions; you could make a few improvements, but don't overwork it -- I think you have presented who you are very well, in a readable and interesting and memorable way. Good luck!

I don't know if you're still around chbroom, but great profile. You sound like a very emotionally mature 21 year old and if I was younger, I'd be all over your profile. Good luck!

This is all very good. However, reading about all your schooling I get the impression that you don't know what you want to do in life. Which of course at 21 it is OK to be figuring out where you want to head career wise. But you may want to re-write this some so that you are showing a progression toward a goal. Also maybe some of the younger folks will give their input on this as I may be colored by age on this.

The most important thing I am looking for in a person is:
I am looking for someone who is a genuinely nice person, someone who shares my general outlook on life which is always positive and inquisitive. Someone that I can develop not only a strong friendship with but a healthy relationship as well.
This is good.

The most influential person in my life has been:
My best friend who passed away too soon. He taught me the meaning of living everyday to the fullest. He helped strengthen my values as a person such by pushing me out of my comfort zone at parties, school, and in life in general because I often used to be very shy. Aaron is someone whom I will never forget as we were best friends for 16 years, RIP.
This is good. If Aaron was a service member killed in action you should add a salute to his service. If he passed away due to an illness you may want to mention something about his strength in the face of the illness.

The three things which I am most thankful for:
Wonderful Parents, for their love and support, and good life advice.
Athletic ability, I trained with the amateur division of the Vancouver White Caps Soccer Association for two years.
Compassion people have shown me over the years to push me forward to do hard things in life, such as being truthful even when it is not the "easy route".
This is excellent.

The first thing people notice about me:

There is nothing wrong with this but the same things could be said in a better way.

Some additional information I want you to know:
I love to be active. My newest hobby is the sport of paintball. It combines my love of sport, the outdoors, and it is a huge adrenaline rush!
This is good. You also have a good bit more space to add more information about yourself.

My interests
I typically spend my leisure time:

I tend to read or play video games when I have time. I also go to the pool and swim a couple of times a week. I also like going outside and being active when the weather permits. If I can get some people together to kick a ball around or even go for a hike I really enjoy that. I'm also a HUGE Vancouver Canucks fan, and I watch as many of their games as I can!
This is OK. Though you are going to talk about reading in the Last Book section so no need to have it here.

Stuff in BOLD purple are corrections.

You have a pretty good profile here. Tweak it a bit and make it even better.
