Got a match that seems pretty great except for two things that made me wonder. Under the what am I passionate about section he only has "self-improvement, social psychology, and inter-personal relationships". And for the what I want in my partner he only lists "High self-esteem is key as its what the rest of a person's character is based on". The rest of his profile seems great and we have a lot in common. Is this a "ignore it" situation or "red flag"? I can't decided. Thoughts?

If you aren't into self-improvement, social psychology, relationships and self esteem, then it could be a flag. To me though, these traits are attractive and nothing that would cause alarm. This may just be a different strokes for different folks issue.

Look at the bright side; at least he's not most passionate about playing sports, traveling, and "Living life to the fullest!"

I'd have been very happy to receive a match (woman) who wrote stuff like that... instead of all the flotsam and jetsam that drifted my way.

It's possible that he'll analyze everything about you and the relationship, and that you'll need high self-esteem to handle the quantity of kindly suggestions he'll make to aid your own efforts at self-improvement. Maybe not though. The only way to find out is to meet him.

Sounds like he had no idea what to say about himself and copied out of one of his endless stack of self-help books.

It's a bad job of an online dating profile, but hardly a sign of a bad person.

Creative writing is hard for many people, and profiles harder still.

At least there is no baggage or problems in these answers.

I'd be bored, but keep reading.

My rule is that I meet as long as I find no clear deal-breakers.
