Just wanted to see some of your thoughts on posting an alternate email when your subscription is comming to an end. I've seen other people do it and considering to do it myself, just wanted to get some opinions out there.

Thanks!

It is against the TOS, and will end up getting you and your Profile kicked off the site forever, assuming they catch it.

I call your attention to the TOS here:
http://www.eharmony.com/about/terms

Under 4b:

No Contact Information. You agree that you will not post any e-mail addresses, personal website address or profile page you may have on a third party website, or other contact information in the “About Me” section of the Singles Service or in any other communications you may have with other users. You may, at your discretion, exchange such information after you reach the “Open Communication” phase with your match.

The filters will automatically strip anything formatted to look like an email address (i.e., something @ something . com ) Some people try to mask or hide an email address. This is against the terms of service, and will get your profile deleted (and I think will also get your email address banned from re-joining).

Not a good idea! Also it does not impress your matches - you come off looking cheap, like a freeloader, and like you're not serious about trying to find someone.

I think it looks kind of bad, myself. Like "I don't want to pay anymore, but I like getting free dates and attention." If I see that on a woman's profile, I move on.

I only saw that once, with the email right on the profile - "cleverly" hidden in backwards writing. Coupled with the fact that the guy had no photo, and the whole "profile" was full of "I'll tell you later" type stuff, I reported him. I felt good about that.

Aquarian - if you are concerned that you might miss out on some good matches when your subscription runs out, you might try skipping directly to OC to explain your situation. Then, you are not in violation of the TOS, and some of these men may be interested in continuing the conversation offline.

There is nothing in the TOS that's says you can't state you're a non-paying member..

So if you're going to leave matching turned on, then it might be a good idea..

If I was you I would turn-off matching for now or until an FCW..
